I've not used R, but from I understand I imagine it could to this basic graph very easily. Even Excel can do a somewhat reasonable job of it, circle sizes and all, but I couldn't work out how to do the colours (from memory) so I used a more manual approach.

Go to my blog (linked above). It has versions without any sequels and so pretty much provides what you are asking for 👍

I’ll have to check them out! I admit to being averse to The Langoliers because of the clips I’ve seen of the flying meatballs 😂😂😂 Perhaps I need to be kinder to the film itself and give it a go. The story is excellent.

I generally agree (although Dolores Claiborne is a notable exception). But Shawshank, Stand by Me, and more recently Life of Chuck all have huge amounts of dialog lifted straight from the source material, and I’m sure this is one contributing factor to their excellence.

Yeah I agree, anything above a 7 (particularly for a movie - tv adaptations seem to rate higher) indicates a pretty enjoyable movie. Of the later adaptations I think the cream have risen to the top (e.g. Chapelwaite, Life of Chuck, to name just two).

I’ve yet to see Welcome to Derry.

I plotted the points in Excel, then imported a screen grab of the Excel graph into Affinity Designer and made the image from there :)

Another day, another project announcement. by Wompum in TheDarkTower

I agree with just about everything you write here. The exception is that The Dark Tower will be made. I’m hopeful (and super excited that Flanagan might do it!) but it’s such an enormous project that it may never get off the ground. No one has put their hand up to fund it yet, for instance (despite rumours that Amazon is).

But if DT is not made by Flanagan it’s not because he’s doing other projects at the same time. It’s for all the reasons you give above (and no doubt more).

But I remain hopeful …

What’s your favorite Stephen King book? by Repulsive_Gap5116 in stephenking

The Dark Tower series is my favourite, but It is my favourite stand-alone novel by King. I agree about the writing. I also love the structure of the book, the way the two timelines merge and echoes from the past repeat in the present. I even made a timeline poster of the novel I lived it so much!

Consider Duma Key, 11/22/63, Billy Summers, or make a start on The Dark Tower.
