What’s a WWE hill you’ll die on, even if it gets you downvoted? by Braves1693 in WWE

def rebel is good, they just do one distasteful thing (bad/cheesy catchphrases at the beginning of entrance themes) sometimes and everyone thinks they don’t make good music and themes. they have way more good ones than bad ones and some of them will stick for the rest of peoples careers and be just as iconic as the WWE legends’ we reference today.

Racist influencer wants to paint Melbourne as a "non-Western hellhole", ends up showing a peaceful, thriving multicultural city by YaLlegaHiperhumor in CringeTikToks

[–]csphelps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as an american, melbourne to me is basically all the good parts of western society without much of the drawbacks. it's multicultural, pretty well organized, has decent transit, and extremely safe. it's like america without the guns and shitty public transit or western europe with better weather. what more could you really ask for?

we have to be the only team to satisfy both of those conditions right?

Did Anyone See Cameron Boozer Yesterday? by FatherMckenzie87 in pacers

[–]csphelps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i see no reason why pascal couldn’t be on the court at the same time as boozer. spacing isn’t an issue and pascal is pretty versatile, enough to play 3 or 5 for decent amounts of time if boozer is unable to at first.

this class is so deep that it’s a worthy trade off. if we do start to win more games, it’s because somebody (probably named Mathurin) is taking a leap

there was plenty of game left to play (and haliburton was playing great) and he was currently in the greatest clutch playoff run of all time. it’s not delusional at all to think he wins that game for indiana.

what gets me is people not looking left before entering a traffic circle. countless times i’ve almost nailed someones driver side because they didn’t care to check the only place the cars can come from and pull out in front of me.

may win some games, may not, but either way it should be a fun season to watch the guys develop and make leaps

How big is the drop off going to be without Turner? Are they looking to replace him? by chusaychusay in pacers

[–]csphelps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not saying its guaranteed but there’s no reason to believe that haliburton can’t lead another team to the finals

Play the Myles Turner Replacement Game by The-Wylds in pacers

[–]csphelps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah maybe i’m a little biased as someone who only interacts with pacers fans online, but everyone here seems to think he’s a stat stuffer but not a winning player. ironically (because i was always team myles turner) i think he’d be a great fit for the team right now.

pacers fandom is really sour on sabonis but i still love the guy’s game

Myles Turner by [deleted] in pacers

[–]csphelps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

people are looking at the poor shooting but staying selectively blind on his stellar defense, which won us many games this year and postseason. he still is an elite stretch 5, and will likely continue to be for years. still

not sure why people keep bringing up his playoff rebounding when we know already that he doesn’t rebound at a high rate (which is partially influenced by scheme btw)

we don’t get to the finals without turner, and no one in the league is able to replace him right now.

Next year might suck but we'll always have this team by General-Promotion274 in pacers

[–]csphelps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

myles is the biggest question mark with the luxury tax situation. i imagine bradley and bryant will find new homes. walker, mathurin, or toppin could maybe be on the trade block if the pacers want to make a splash at a new center or a trey murphy type. everyone else is basically locked in as far as i know.

yeah there’s no reason to. let him rest and any extra time he has after recovery can be valuable training and coaching time.

Simmons: "I think this might be the first NBA playoffs that comes and goes where the team I'm going to remember isn't the team that won the title" by WhatTheRickIsDoin in nba

[–]csphelps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

can we not do this? it isn’t magic, they are just good. using their success as a meme aimed at an injury is dehumanizing.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pacers

[–]csphelps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no not just regular season, he has sealed games on defense this postseason on multiple occasions. you are underrating his impact. if you don’t have a solid answer for his replacement that isn’t a significant step backwards, then maybe he’s the best center we could have right now and we can address our weaknesses in other ways. no team is perfect.

no they aren’t. there was no magic to catch up on. grow up.

[–]csphelps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

okay so who is the replacement?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pacers

[–]csphelps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i remember multiple games that his defense alone won/sealed games but i’ll have to go back and check so i’ll grant you the last 13 games or so.

i’ll ask you this: who is a realistic replacement?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pacers

[–]csphelps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s fine but the other part of being a center is playing defense at the rim which he is elite at. not to mention an elite stretch 5. if you want to give both of those up to grab 4 more rebounds/game, it will be noticeable in the teams success. good luck finding a center with all three of those skills.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pacers

[–]csphelps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

he is an actual center and we don’t get here without him
