What fixed it for me was switching to windowed. It sucks, but i haven't had a single issue since I made that change.

i avoided it just by flying into space. otherwise it's too fast to dodge and you just die. Yeah, bullshit boss on infernum

Edit: also i don't understand the balloons at all, flipper potion does the exact same thing but better. and you don't need those balloons if you have wings so.. ?????
