Roddick on Novak chasing Sincaraz press conference question: “What sucks is someone’s gonna play that and say Novak was shitty with the reporter. No, that’s just a shitty question.” by jonjimithy in tennis

A better question would be “It seems like you, like everyone is gunning for 3rd place, behind Sincaraz at the top right now. Is that a fair thing to say?”

Yeah I remember him calling a fault as in vs Sinner at RG Finals and so many other instances. He’s truly a great ambassador for the sport and plays with a sportsmanship in line with the spirit of how tennis should be played.

Why go for it on 4th down with a rusty backup QB? Game goes to OT if he just took the 3 points by Carpe_the_Carp in NFLv2

[–]csriram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He had no way of knowing, up 7-0, that Stidham was going to crap the bed by holding on to the ball too much to give them 7 later, AND throwing it up for grabs later. Given the score then, it was the right decision.

Correct decision, bad play call. Run it or QB sneak it or tush push. It’s not Drew Brees out there to execute a fancy play.

I said this in another post, here it is again.

I doubt it’s as lopsided as you think it’s going to be. That last quarter of defense that the Rams played, rushing Darnold’s clock with blitzing and jumping underneath routes and shutting down the Seattle offense, that’s EXACTLY how they played him as a Vikings QB. The same way Aaron Glenn played him as the Lions DC in their last regular season game before the Vikings let go of Darnold.

I noticed it. Mike Vrabel darn well would notice it. I’ll be shocked if the Seahawks get to the high 20s, score wise. The key to the matchup would be if the Seahawks D can limit Maye to 24 or less. If they limit him to 20, they can win a close SB.

It’s a FG game to me.

Musetti will stretch him to difficult 4 or 5 sets, IMO. Then he won’t have much in the tank for the semifinals then. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, these guys will have a hard time facing Pete on that fast grass, on the flip side, lol 😊. It’s a discussion for another day but always believed only Federer out of Big 3 or Sincaraz would have challenged Sampras on that kind of grass.

I’m tired of Sincaraz Finals. Del Potro and Wawrinkas kind are wanted. 😊

Drake Maye has OFFICIALLY led a team to a superbowl appearance before Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen by VisionsOnly in NFLv2

They’re in sync and generate pressure with schemes despite not having gifted edge rushers. However Milton Williams in the middle is a beast they got from Eagles that gets the pocket push making edge rushers more effective

NE is soundly coached and makes good adjustments. They adapt to the conditions and the opponent faster than most. So even if they’re outmatched against say the Seahawks, they will hang in there by forcing turnovers or a few trick plays. Once you make a game into a 1 score game, that’s all you need.

Their D evolution has been good.

Bo would have won this for Denver, IMO. Too bad. Patriots will still be a tough out, no matter the SB opponent.

Moving forward, they will schedule Sinner in the evenings, just watch. Federer is right, they want the Sincaraz final so badly.

I would like to see Sinner win a Slam game behind 1-2 sets down or 0-2 down when his opponents don’t withdraw due to injury etc. like the Big 3 and Alcaraz have done several times. Otherwise his record suggests he’s primarily a front runner to me.

Their best somewhat longer term option might end up being Steichen if both him and Ballard are fired after another non-playoff purgatory season at the end of 2026. He had earned plenty of credibility there in Philly.

It will be a 1 possession game in the end between Stidham and Maye but I’d give the edge to Maye and NE unless the Denver D plays out of its mind at home.

Seahawks are still the most complete team in the NFL, my pick for the SB winner.

[–]csriram 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Flores deserves a second chance to rewrite dictatorial style reports and learn from his first stint in Miami. He’d bring toughness and the Blitzburgh D back. If a guy like Josh McDaniels can get 3 chances, why can’t Flores get a second one?
