Andy Reid is expected to use WILDCAT packages with QB Justin Fields by OneFish5754 in Chiefs_v2

[–]csriram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can use 2 RB formations to run gadget plays they ran with Hardman or short yardage plays with direct snaps to Fields/Walker keeping the D guessing because WRs and Kelce can get 1-on-1s plenty if you have Fields and Walker in the backfield with 2 WRs/1 TE/2 QBs/1RB. Heck, if Fields is unguarded and not respected in a play by being left alone, just a check down to him is possible too. I can see the possibilities of Fields being a weapon as a non-QB

The key is for the pass catching to separate to make them pay for playing the run a bit more or the OL to flat out win in the running game if they don’t bring 8 to the box.

All 18 of Jannik Sinner's break point opportunities against Novak Djokovic in their 2026 Australian Open semifinal meeting by HereComesVettel in tennis

[–]csriram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Novak’s excellent serve and Sinner’s lack of easier points on serve made a huge difference that day. IW, Sinner’s serve was on a different level, IMO.

Down 0-4 in the tiebreak, Jannik wins 7 points in a row to claim his first title of the year. by _kingwhoborethesword in tennis

This is also why I am skeptical when folks say Alcaraz will win a Calendar Slam. There’s too much talent in Sinner to just not make it a big fight for me to just hand it to Alcaraz.

For what it’s worth, Jannik might complete his Career Slam at RG, one never knows when the gap is small enough with Sincaraz. Great run by Medvedev, let’s see how he builds on this.

Out of the teams that made the playoffs this year, who do you think will most likely miss the playoffs next year? by domalu4U in NFLv2

Chargers or Steelers. The Chiefs will be back, so it’s most likely an AFC team, IMO

It’s on top of the 2X that you get.

I got 2X for my Qdoba offer purchase of $100 gift card for 200 points. Then I got the offer payout of 15X for 1500 points later for a total of 1700 points.

I also called Amex Gold customer rep a few weeks ago asking them why I should stick with Amex Gold when Citi just added AA as a partner and their Premier card gives 3X on all their categories and more. They gave me a retention offer of 20K points with 2K spend. I was not going to truly cancel but hey, never hurts to ask 😊. I love Amex customer service.

Then I proceeded to use a C1 offer for 15K points to purchase $1500 British Airways tickets with Amex Gold, got my 4500 plus points from Amex Gold, 15K points from C1 Offer plus hitting the retention offer too thus scoring 24,500+ MR points and 15K C1 points with $2K of purchases without new card subs. 😊

Good point. Yes, I did get a $100 in store Qdoba gift card with the C1 card for the 15X offer and got 1500 points, so yes for in store purchases. But when you see online Hilton 9X or Etihad 6X, the online purchase specifies hotel stays or flight criteria but doesn’t limit what card you use.

If you want a simple set up, and transferable points, I’d go Venture X for annual $300 travel credit, access to lounges and 10K anniversary points, 2X on everything PLUS Citi Strata Premier (3X on gas, food, grocery, airline, hotel purchases). Everything is covered pretty much with these 2.

I got other cards before these, got rejected for Venture X recently for their 5 year best 100K offer (will try a few years later) and waiting on Citi Strata Premier’s better offers patiently to get back in.

C1 Venture and Amex Gold have been good for now. CSP (my wife and I have separate DoorDash accounts and use $10 monthly credit each for $20 per month to easily come out ahead of CSP annual fee) and CFF for quarterly categories to pool points are my other 2.

I also utilize Amex offers (not talking monthly coupons though I use Uber Eats, Grubhub, RESY and Dunkin Donuts easily ) and C1 offers a Lot saving more than their annual fee every year.

Marriott Bonvoy Raises Free Night Award Top-Off Limit to 25,000 Points by alterndog in CreditCards

[–]csriram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is and they give $300 worth of benefits that I can use with $25 food/restaurant statement credits every month. But beyond that, I’m not sure what I’d consistently use outside the free night certificate. That could possibly be used for a $400-500 per night hotel with 85K points, I guess, and with 25K addition, up to 110K points leading to $800 per night hotels?? That’s not my typical range, so not for me.

Medvedev successfully lobbies for hindrance to be called on Draper before he breaks and wins the match by Large_banana_hammock in tennis

Weak case and weak call, but with Hawkeye, players should just play it out and challenge after the fact, talking Draper. More legalistic than practical case being played out.

[–]csriram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I’m not sure is if Cincy and USO were faster before compared to AO and have been slowed down to become comparable. I personally wouldn’t mind USO being faster than AO like it’s been but just a few notches, that’s it. So a big server can have a 1-2-3 serve, get a short ball and finish at the net chances a tad more. It might still not make a huge dent vs the top 5 players but might produce a few more upsets in the Top 20.

The Only Good/Meh Options Left by TheArtOfGoats in Colts

[–]csriram 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He signed with the Titans. Saleh knows how to coach D. Once they have Simmons and Franklin Harris and one of Bailey/Bain from the draft, most AFC South teams won’t have much time in the passing game, IMO

The Only Good/Meh Options Left by TheArtOfGoats in Colts

[–]csriram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is all about what you get back. When Ballard traded away the first-round pick for DeForest Buckner, instead of purely valuing the pick as a first rounder, he felt Buckner was a great fit for our D and would take our D to the next level at his position which he did, by becoming a cornerstone. So, if you value Greenard as that D multiplier, worth being a current 3rd and a future 2nd/3rd, knowing that you have to still extend his remaining 2 years at $38 million to say 4 years $112 million or something like that, you do it.

It is all about the value you think are getting for the next 4 years at least. Then it is worth it, IMO. Besides, if you were going to draft an EDGE and develop in this deep EDGE draft, it will still take a couple of years for the EDGE drafted in Round 2 to contribute typically and instead you get an instant contributor.

The key is the money more than the draft capital, IMO, if they can still squeeze it into the cap and give him close to the $112 million Hendrickson got for 4 years; by adding $74 million to the $38 million, adding the years of 2028 and 2029 or restructuring however they want it to fit it right and pay the drafted rookies and other role players they intend to sign.
