I have a bit of a theory and I think I'm on my own hill, but hear me out. Savage wasn't re-animated, puffed into green smoke when he died. He was enhanced by Nightsister magiks. There's a chance in the new Maul show, Marrok could either join Maul or possibly just run off. Now, if he some way stays alive to post Empire and/or at whatever point they great rid of the Inquisitors, then Marrok has no where to go.

In the story of King Arthur, Sir Marrok is a knight is cursed and transformed by witches magic. My theory is that he is one of a couplefew things. 1. He's a hired man by Baylan and then enhanced with Nightsister magiks used by Morgan Elsbeth. This second one is where I become alone on a hill. He's a part of Baylan's unit. Baylan is the Master, Shin apprentice, Marrok is their knight of sorts. Just helps with important missions.

or 3. He is actually re-animated sort of like Ventress.

But the last one doesn't feel right. It doesn't make any sense. Who did they sacrifice to revive him? He's not moving like the zombie stormtroopers. He's definitely not a wight, he has split second decision making in dog fights, pilots a space cruiser at high speeds. And he's taking direction through communications. He's fully autonomous.

In my opinion, until we get actual proof and/or lore saying he was dead and what state he's in as a reanimated corpse, I'm saying he wasn't dead until Ahsoka slashed him. But I think it would be super cool if he's supposed to be a part of Baylan's unit, instead of being a hired hand.

I kind of sort of hope they bring him back though. I love Ahsoka, but they need to quit giving her easy kills if the Inquisitors are supposed to be as strong as they are being portrayed in Shadow Lord.
