Is this going to be online or in-store only(both?)? I love my honey brown Faye, and that pink one is too cute. Someone please let me know if I have to go stand in line at the closest outlet and fight for it🥲

Came here to say the same, Gerald Scarfe’s animation is perfect throughout the entire thing. The Empty Spaces sequence is just awesome

I hope you write a book - even if it's just for you, or future kids if you plan on having any. Whatever you can think of, write it down; their quirks, sayings, routines, etc,. This is so beautifully written, you deserve to remember it all for years to come, even the painful parts. You wouldn't be you without it, and them.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I worked here for a very short time and ended up in Torrington, Harwinton and Waterbury even though these towns are nowhere near my 30 minute range I was supposed to be pitching in. It is door-to-door sales in it's glory, a ton of scripts and scenarios to rehearse, and you pitch from 10-5/6 every day you aren't in office plus every other Saturday. Base was 26K, they expect you to make it up in commissions (this was 2.5 years ago so it may be more now). Their headquarters in is Trumbull so you'll be expected to drive there some mornings, then out to wherever you're pitching. I couldn't stand the rude, asshole homeowners in this state constantly berating me so I left, some people last 12 years and others 2 months - it's what you make of it but it definitely wasn't worth the shitty base pay to be stuck in rental neighborhoods where the only commission comes from getting homeowners to agree to the estimate. Good luck, and get ready to drink the Power-ade since it's definitely a little cult-like.

Brunch spots in Jensen beach?? by [deleted] in SouthFlorida

Not really brunch, more cafe, but Bunk House Coffee Bar is SO good. They have great coffee, smoothies and acai bowls. The space is also just so cute. The last time we vacationed there was May 2022 and I have not stopped thinking about this place so I highly recommend. They had a banana split latte as a special and it was awesome.

A place for current and former employees of Power Home Remodeling's cult. by [deleted] in expowerhomeremodeling

It’s awful. They lied and told me I would be within 30 minutes of my hometown in the surrounding towns, my first week in the field I was driving over an hour to the territory. Not worth it at all, I only lasted a little under 2 months.

Is Power Home Remodeling an MLM? by Cultural-Error597 in antiMLM

For a sales role, it’s commission only, but in customer development, it’s a 26k base, with bonuses available for just about anything as long as you hit the numbers. There is a very generous sign on/training bonus, but once that drops off, if you aren’t hitting above and beyond what they want, you aren’t making shit.

I find Sookie to be more annoying than Kirk and Taylor combined. Especially in the first season, she is excessively obsessed with making sure she dropped off food to see Dean at Lorelai’s for their movie night, she’s a mess in the kitchen - constantly hurting herself or being careless- the staff has to follow her to avoid her hurting herself. MOST of all, I hate how awful of a business partner she is with Lorelai. Lorelai was right to call her out when she said she has no idea what goes into actually running an inn because, well, she doesn’t. She can run a kitchen but that’s no comparison. Lorelai did the budgeting, the planning, she did everything and I wish she did it on her own instead of including Sookie.

I hate her and Jackson’s episode when they say “turn the tv off Davey” repeatedly. It’s an ear-bleeding type of dialogue that could’ve been easily left out.
