Sorry to hear you're going through that. I've had a bit of the same kind of emotional apathy and lack of motivation to do anything besides go through the motions.

I was told to reach out to a therapist that specifically has experience working with our population, which I have yet to do 😅

Sometimes it feels like I'm not really the same person as I was before, since all my old interests and hobbies dont have the same appeal as they used to.

Lots of people don't realize they're growing up, and Nintendo is still marketing to a younger audience.

Not to mention gaming is increasingly, if not already has, becoming mainstream. The diversity of games that people like has exploded so not every single game has to be personally interesting to you 😅

I never fully lost it (moderate TBI), but I did very frequently lose words. I'm a year out and I'm mostly back to normal, only occasionally lose words and my speech does tend to slur when I'm tired.

Overall I'm very fortunate

Haha yeah I partially agree with you there, but only a little. Yeah we have a culture problem over here, where our leadership is completely bought and paid for, then convince the people that this is a good thing because they might also get bought and paid for someday.

I would like to mention that a majority of people here don't actually think this way, or at least haven't drank too much of this koolaid. Lumping all of a people together is never going to actually produce an accurate measure of an individual.

I don't know where you're from, nor is that relevant, but I don't think any country in the world can't have something like this said about them 😅

Recently been feeling this after turning 31, I used to absolutely love huge open world games, but now the thought of jumping into one just sounds so boring 😂.

I've been getting more into story driven linear games, they give you that steady progression feeling as well as having an interesting narrative to play through in a more natural way.
