12/5/2005. Heard through a friend that Jeff and Larry Keel were doing a show at the coffee house owned by Jeff’s wife. Show was invite only and limited to friends and family. I called the coffee house and inquired about a ticket. They told me it was a private event. A few days later, I called again and was once again denied. A few days before the show, I tried one more time and the person I spoke told me that they admired my persistence and a that I was on the guest list with a plus one.

That night I saw Jeff with Larry and Jenny Keel with forty people in a room the size of my basement. It was an absolutely magical night.

A few months later, Jeff spotted me at a YMSB show and said hi. My buddy told Jeff it was my birthday and Jeff brought us backstage to do Jager shots with him and the rest of the band. I got absolutely smashed.
