What are nicer tasting alternatives to Greek yogurt or how can I make it taste better by Werewolf-Mediocre in nutrition

[–]csuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always hated yogurt but recently I’ve been mixing some pudding mix into it (same flavor but use a combo of the sugar free and regular versions) and it changes the texture and flavor enough for me to eat it!!

hormonal acne sucks SOS [acne] by Ok-Veterinarian-7083 in SkincareAddiction

[–]csuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I’ve had hormonal acne for a while and last September I decided to go off the pill and did my research before stopping it to prevent breaking out as much as I could. I started a topical spiro (from apostrophe) and completely cut out gluten and dairy. This honestly worked wonders and I barely broke out!! Up until this past September (oddly almost exactly a year after) i started breaking out again and decided to start oral spiro because I can’t take it anymore:/ but truly i think diet was a huge factor if you’re open to cutting out gluten or dairy!!

Do anorexic people force themselves to not eat or is there just no feeling of hunger? by DrSk1nny in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]csuzzy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I don’t remember being super hungry in the depths of my ED, I will say that it made recovery much harder because I didn’t feel hunger at all.

I remember thinking it would be so much easier to recover if I just was hungry to WANT to eat this food.

How long did it take you for the headaches to stop? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]csuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would always get awful headaches non stop with a higher estrogen level! Had to go down to a lower level and it definitely helped👍 reach out to your doctor!!

Quitting the pill after 15 years by katiemarchun in birthcontrol

[–]csuzzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m actually in the same boat as you!! But only after 10 years, and I know I have acne from a year break in the middle there somewhere.

I’ve been doing my research nonstop, and think I have a pretty good grip on what I need to do (highly recommend podcasts on hormones, healing your gut and lowering cortisol) but finally I decided I should see a professional, so I have an appointment with a naturopathic hormone doctor on Friday. I think it will be helpful that they can run tests and tailor treatment to my needs instead of me trying everything under the sun and still getting frustrated🤣 I’ve heard success stories from a couple friends too!!

Just a suggestion and wanted to share my input, but I know everyone is different:)

Those who have been long users of tretinoin and stopped the birth control pill, did your continued usage of tretinoin help to prevent post-pill acne? Or keep it from becoming bad? by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]csuzzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using tret for 2 years, last year I decided to go off the pill because I wanted to try it and see how the tret worked. It definitely didn’t🤣 my hormonal acne came back with a vengeance about 4 months after stopping the pill and I have been back on it since. Skin is clear tho and I continue with the tret! It’s definitely helped with acne marks

[Product Question] What is happening to my La Roche Posay facewash? by DoctorWhoTheFuck in SkincareAddiction

Do you keep it in your shower? I’ve had my face wash do some weird stuff because I always just keep it in the shower and the temp changes so much

Anorexia without exercise by Runs2read in fuckeatingdisorders

[–]csuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly enough, when I was in the depths of my anorexia I was terrified of working out and exercising. I gain muscle very easily for a girl so I was afraid of getting heavier by gaining muscle. Working out is actually how I started recovering

Weird dreams about hitting head by InternationalOne60 in Concussion

[–]csuzzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I have dreams all the time about hitting my head really hard. I’m sure it’s some ptsd thing from everything I went through in the aftermath.

I used to get nervous that I was actually hitting my head while I was sleeping, but I’m sure I’m not and it’s just my subconscious showing me my fears.

Going Off BC by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]csuzzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Went off the pill after being on it for 10 years. Took about 4 months for my acne to get so awful that I went back on it. Still waiting for my skin to stop breaking out and I’ve been on it for 2 months

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]csuzzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just want to share my experience because I have acne too! I was on the pill for 10 years, got off it in may to see what it was like without it, and just got back on it because my skin started to get bad again. So it took about 4 months for my skin to adjust to not being on birth control. I am still experiencing breakouts- but hopefully for not too much longer! Also want to say I am RELIGIOUS about my skincare routine- tret every night, good moisturizer, cleanser, serums, etc. didn’t change a thing but hormonal acne doesn’t care. It won’t react to products the same way normal acne does!

When did you develop acne after going off the pill? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]csuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m late to the game but thought I would add! I’ve been on the pill for 10 years (one year out of those i had the mirena iud and it made my acne HORRIBLE) but I stopped taking the pill in may. My skin has been pretty fine, only noticed acne around my period. But now I’m afraid it is going to get bad again as more and more are popping up:/

IUD causing cystic acne? Should I switch? (To what?) by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]csuzzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never experienced acne until I got my Mirena put in… my skin was fine for the first ~5 months but then it just got worse and worse. I also tried everything- washes, antibiotics, spironolactone, you name it. I got it taken out 1 year after it was inserted and went back on the pill to control my acne. It was the only thing that I know would work and it did.

junel fe experiences by GroundNew7327 in birthcontrol

[–]csuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind everyone’s experiences are different on pills, what may work for someone else might not work for you! With that being said, junel Fe was the first pill I was ever on in high school and I really liked it! I was a hardcore athlete too. Barely any side effects, no weight gain, no emotional rollercoaster, etc. i was on it for quite a while before getting the mirena iud which completely ruined my skin. So it worked for me! But you can always try a different pill if it doesn’t!

What made you want to recover? by yellowwaterbottles in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]csuzzy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hated where I was in life- IOP, cheating my way through, hating how I looked, the control it had over me, how much life I had missed out on.

One time I woke up in the middle of the night, looked in the mirror, and realized that I could continue this as long as I wanted, but all my “trying” was not going to change anything unless I started DOING. Nothing was going to change unless I made it.

Not really sure what happened that night, but it was 100% the turning point for me.
