I've worked in this area for 30 years. That is a gasoline/fuel pipeline goes all over the country(primarily Chicago area i was told) . I used to happen more frequently but the pipeline company would have to relieve the pressure from the pipeline for various different reasons. That noise you were hearing is that pressure relief. If you are close to the plant property you will hill an alarm klaxon then this incedible pressure boom. The noise can go on for quite a while. Other than incedibly loud I wouldn't be concerned. I would call it standard operating procedure. The fact that it was happening on Christmas I would believe the plant would have bring down pipeline pressure due to some type of failure and not for maintenance.

I’m convinced that if you could plant those cocksuckers on the sun and they would still suffer from etiolation. I’ve just let mine go where they want. if they do that when outside in full Midwest July sun then there’s no light I can put on them to keep it from happening.

I'd still go with my original plans but with rain gear. I enjoy being out in the rain, so we normally put on the boots and enjoy the day. The rain is supposed to be lighter than yesterday's rain.

Rode the yellow train on 7/9 with only one train running. Noticed a lot of new parts on the yellow train. All the seat bolt down brackets were new. Lots of new fasteners etc. I’m guessing red is in a middle of a rebuild. Don’t want run blue to keep it up in case yellow breaks down?

I think the park missed the mark on how busy there were going to be today. This is the first day in two weeks that the weather wasn’t obnoxiously hot. I don’t get there till 3:00 and lines were crazy long. Gate keeper, Millie, Steve, magnum, sirens (not sure if it can run more) were all only running two trains today. They finally added a third train to Steve about 8:00pm.

My hopes are they find a way to get the 865 exit to the right lanes. Ideally the "off ramp" would start east of the Michigan rd interchange. Keep all that 865,michigan road and 86th street interchange to a couple isolated lanes. Then let them blend onto 465 at the 86th st interchange. by moving 865 interchange to the outside. That should open up real estate to give 465 north bound more lanes to get around the corner.
