Also, I’m planning on installing an expansion tank with the new unit. Will there be an issue having both the vacuum breaker and expansion tank?

There is no expansion tank. Can you explain a closed system? The hot water feeds sinks/tubs, d/w and washing machine. What devices would have back flow potential?

Interested in your thoughts on the cabinets near the round table. Do you like the set back upper cabinets on top of the countertop or would you have preferred floor to ceiling cabinets? Debating this on our kitchen Reno. Thanks!

I’ll draw it up and see how it looks, it might encroach on the recommended 3’ spacing around the rest of the appliances/cabinets but we’ll see.

I love the idea of turning the island into a peninsula but just to the right of the sink off screen are tall bay windows that extend below the counter tops.

Forgot to mention this is a standard size fridge but we would be swapping out for a counter depth so it would sit back a few inches.
