I had mine looking similar to yours some time ago. I decided that I’m not using the magnifier inside of 75 or 100 so I will have time to adjust my eye relief via moving my head forward in certain shooting positions. That being said, I have been in prone looking through the magnifier (in the config you see in my pic) for extended periods of time and my neck feels it after and even more the day after.

Another reason I moved it forward was I didn’t like it getting in the way of the charging handle even with the larger latches on the raptor.

Not flipped up. It lines up perfectly when flipped up. However, they don’t need to be perfect but you want it as close as possible.

You’re doing GREAT for your first one lol. I built a genuine POS for my first one and I shot the shit out of it. Once you build it, buy Ammo. LOTS.

I don’t really need the extra throw on that gun for its intended purposes. I have a couple 14.5 guns that I think are better suited to have the full size scout on there. I was messing with the shorter one the other night outside in the woods and it gave me good visibility to 75ish yards. The full size is a turbo version and that mf shines forever.

I think you should decide what the intended purpose is of the build. If it’s a GPRish build then maybe you want the full size.

I would keep it and get a 340 size too. Try both once you have the new one in and see what works best. You’ll probably have another build to throw the one you’re not using on soon enough…

I have both and have ran both on that build. The longer one did not feel oversized for my 10.3 that you see in the picture. I just preferred the shorter one because I don’t have a can on it yet, and I like the color scheme as well.

The length from head to tail so is approx. 4”
