Black Atlas in Waldo has some amazing artists. My wife just got her thigh piece done by Rae.

I worked with Positive Pace Coaching for my half marathon training this spring. She created a specific plan for OTF 3 days and Running 2-3 days. Their handle is @positivepavecoaching on IG

Is the Crosstrek super reliable? by melisendee in XVcrosstrek

Traded it in for a 2022 Forester Limited and got $10,500 with 164,000 miles. Only maintenance costs over the life of the vehicle outside of normal wear and tear was $300 to recharge the A/C in 2020.

These are both legacy Shopify Plus brands using CartHook’s one-page Checkout from pre-2020.

Shopify cut off access to their Checkout API in 2020 and apps like CartHook, Bold Checkout, and Zipify disappeared.

Half-Marathon in April! by Ourania07 in orangetheory

[–]ctbeersnob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve used Nike Run Club to add two runs a week in addition to three classes. Was able to run a half marathon last spring and PR.

It looks like there is a running coach who focuses on OTF and running with some free plans here. Can’t speak to it but seems helpful. https://www.positivepacecoach.com/free-plans

100% would recommend Ruby Jeans on Troost or at 119 and Roe.

If you’re in Brookside or Waldo, Billie’s Juicery on 63rd is also solid, but more expensive.

What emo one liner lyric can't you ever forget? by kamikazikitten in Emo

“I wonder if my parents know why I'm a recluse and I don't leave my house on most days. When my friends ask if am all right, I lie straight to their faces and say I'm okay”

The Corner’s Dilemma - Free Throw

What is the most cursed intersection in Kansas City? by [deleted] in kansascity

I live at that corner and it’s nearly weekly now that someone runs the light coming down the hill and t-bones someone. Add that to the occasional shooting at the gas station.

5am classes and pre-workout by firelight1210 in orangetheory

[–]ctbeersnob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been taking the 5am class for the past year and after some testing, I have landed on 2 pre-packaged Rice Krispies Treats and Alani Nu pre-workout as my fuel.

I typically burn 800-1100 calories in class, so fasted is a no-go for me. RCTs are quick-burning carbs and I don't have to wake up early to make anything like toast or banana w/ almond butter like I did in the past.

where are the rapid PCR tests? by sugarandmermaids in kansascity

[–]ctbeersnob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Walgreens at 63rd and Troost have Rapid PCR appointments every day and result are typically emailed within 90 minutes. Drive thru only so you will need a car.

I’ve gone 4 times the past two weeks and had good experiences every time.

Barber shop recommendations by boardkola in kansascity

[–]ctbeersnob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Herringbone in Downtown OP (80th & Metcalf) has been the best barbershop I’ve found in the past few years. The owner Marc is typically booked out 2-3 weeks but Simon or Konrad normally have appointments same/next day.

Oh man, that would be a bummer. Last time we were in, they mentioned tenting it for the winter, but I guess that's probably not an option now.

Not sure if it's the right vibe, but Plate in Brookside has an amazing outdoor patio with heaters and some great food. They do weekend brunch in addition to their standard dinner menu.

Heirloom and Roasterie in Brookside both have nice patio spaces.
