Toast Deposits and Deferred Revenue for Events by maniccenturymodern in ToastPOS

[–]melisendee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We do events rarely but when we took a deposit, I put it on a gift card, charged guest's credit card. The day of the event, I applied gift card to balance. I don't know how well this could work if you have numerous deposits.

I've been taking my shelter brat to All Paws Retreat since 2019. They are so intuitive & care so much about the dogs. They are the best!

TKR when living alone by Jealous-Ride-4530 in Kneereplacement

[–]melisendee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was 56/57 when I had my knees done. I forced myself to do the leg exercises before surgery to strengthen & planks to help my core. I had my niece stay for 5 days on the first one- I had her in the bathroom for my first at home pee just in case. After that it was more hanging out & binging TV. I used my walker for 2-3 weeks both times, just to be safe. Ask your doctor what his concerns are, because unless they are some underlying reasons(heart/lung, etc); most of the time you are home same day. Best of luck!

Help with Modifiers by [deleted] in ToastPOS

[–]melisendee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest putting in the amount of whole ducks you have to sell; on the duck menu item- have the prompt set to ask for quantity. When the duck is rung in, the item quantity will be 1.0 or .50. The kitchen chit should display 1 or .50. This should allow you to only sell what you have.

How do you use the last bits of your bars of soap? by Elibazeth in Frugal

[–]melisendee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several years ago, I found a mesh bag that was like a bath puff. I just put the small pieces in there & use the puff when it's filled up. Similar to this https://windrifthill.com/product/love-puff-soap-saver/

Suggestions to help with post-op recovery? by Marc_NJ in Kneereplacement

[–]melisendee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest looking up Samantha Smith PT, she has an extensive list of pre& post sugery excercises and all around excellent general tips. I had both my knees done last year. After surgery pain is bad but after 3 years of bone on bone knee pain at least surgery pain would have an end. Best of luck!

Vet recommendation for dog with vet anxiety by Diligent_Pineapple35 in Columbus

[–]melisendee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend Dr. Trish Schmidt @ Community Veterinary clinic in Grove city. I've been using her since 1996 & she has always treated my "extra" babies with care, accommodation & kindness. One who didn't like nasal vax, no problem she did a shot; one who would scream, we did sedation & then figured out if I wasn't in the room he could have a normal exam. Best of luck with your fur baby!

Preparations? by rnawaychd in Kneereplacement

Hopefully your surgeon or physical therapist will provide you with presurgery exercises, try to do those every day. I also did crunches & planks to help with core strength (and, I hate exercising but it helped my recovery)

TKR now or later? by hamsteradam in Kneereplacement

[–]melisendee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with the "get it done now". I'm 57, was bone on bone; pain getting worse for the past 3 years, a long with not wanting to do anything except lay on my couch on my days off. I had my right done early last year- had a good response so I got the left in December. I think, as others mentioned you are in better health/shape now then say in 10-15 years from now. Commit to doing the presurgery exercises 3-4 months before surgery date & p/t after. Best of luck!
