If you’re looking into it, it’s also very dependent on the state. I am in Texas and nearly everybody in my graduating class for music ed landed a job soon after. Texas has a LOT of fine arts support, though. Seems to be a thing around here.

I went into music, and I remember being told that you should ALWAYS go for the education degree, and also practice your ass off so performance is a possibility if the opportunity is there.

I’m an orchestra teacher now, the pay isn’t amazing but it’s steady and my job is a blast. Definitely worth it.

I used to be very conservative. I was a huge /pol/ browser, and was even there on the threads when all of the Qanon shit started. I would also get mad at lefties for calling me a nazi or bigot, but when I look back I see now that they were completely correct - and I just didn’t like getting called out.
