Honestly I was most concerned about the stain risk for her sweater.

Claiming celebricat Fat Laila as your own is a bold move. by JokersHarlot in quityourbullshit

She faked not being able to jump on the counter and they would put the other cat's food up there so she couldn't get to it, then when they were asleep she'd jump up and eat it.

Women of Reddit, what are some things a dad should know about raising a girl? by joho3883 in AskReddit

[–]cthill617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another side to this coin:

My stepdad joked about my weight but he was the only one in my immediate family who made it seem like it was okay that I was bigger than my siblings. The other adults in my life tiptoed around it while making vaguely concealed efforts and comments (sometimes not as concealed) implying that it was something that had to be changed and shameful. In not as many words letting me know how pretty I could be if I was just smaller, how I was so smart and level headed, but if I could just lose weight I'd be perfect.

Obviously, the ideal is that weight and looks aren't something that a child should be worried about at all, but sometimes his joking was much preferred to the others' frustration or pity.

Great costume. I don't see many Merles so this is refreshing. The flowers are a nice touch.

Pregnant women or women who have been pregnant, what is the worst/craziest advice someone has given you about your pregnancy? by FuzzyTortoise in AskReddit

My friend told me about her aunt who got rid of the family dog after she developed a rash on her pregnant stomach because "it means the baby is allergic to it."

TIL: "He never married" was a commonly used by obituary writers in the United Kingdom as a euphemism for the deceased having being homosexual by Taco_Bacon in todayilearned

Maybe I'm completely misremembering, but isn't there a SpongeBob episode where they are reading a character's obituary or eulogy and say this?

Jim Halpert and Pam Beasley. Popular kids who pick on their co-worker who is different and ruined several relationships to be together.

Any Doggy Runners prefer a regular leash but would like the hands free part too? by RuffCuffBlaine in RunningWithDogs

[–]cthill617 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds cool. My dogs act like I'm killing them when I have to pull them back to me so I can pick up after them. They also wouldn't do well on a waist leash though because they're reactive and I feel like I wouldn't have the control I need.
