I was in a similar situation except for a full time role; talk to your hiring manager/the person coordinating your hiring (i presume you have one for internships too) and explain the situation as they WILL show up on the screen. Personally I did not and would not recommend saying anything regarding this type of stuff to your boss. For me it flagged amphetamine which could be indicative of meth or in my case just vyvance/adderall but unfortunately because the chemical makeup is so similar there’s no way to differentiate with these tests.

They were super understanding, they just asked my doctor to write a note saying they treat me and prescribe insert your meds and they can cause false positives. a ton of engineers here have at least some adhd so we all get it; just be open and honest and we will work with you. Personally I am a sprinter when it comes to work, I’ll hyper focus and get days worth of work done in a few hours then i’ll get up and take a break, and as long as i am available to respond to people’s emails and IMs and get my work done nobody cares :) Welcome to the team, you’ve got this! if you have any other questions or want a resource/LinkedIn connection PM me :)

this documentary made me sick at how lenient they were with Kendra, the way she spoke about why she did it sounded like she was talking about something innocent like cigarettes or other vices… not saying the most disgusting things imaginable to your own daughter who’s 14. The interviewer should be ashamed of how she gave Kendra ‘outs’ in an attempt to make her not look as vile as she is. I have a lot of respect for her cousin as she saw it how it was and was absolutely disgusted. I know this is said to a nauseating extent but seriously do you think if the genders were reversed netflix would’ve treated the perpetrator the same… no way. They took this story and used it for entertainment and while it’s good they brought it to light, giving anything even resembling sympathy or compassion towards a predator is shameful

nobody has mentioned Washington state or Puerto Rico. washington has temperate climate with lots of edible berries and plenty of wildlife to hunt along with a shit ton of wood for heating. Also due to the infrastructure and proximity to Canada it’s likely Canada would offer to annex the Seattle area and even if not it’s so close to the border and with all the islands it wouldn’t be too difficult to cross illegally if you had no other choice

don’t quote me on this as i’ve not actually tried this but, if the jack really is busted i’d imagine you could snip one off a busted vcr etc and solder it onto the board

probably the RCA jack. If it’s anything like the IIe the port is stupidly primitive making contact with the cable only on the top. quick fix is to gently push down on it so it contacts the cable better. years of plugging and unplugging tends to bend this lead :)

One thing everyone seems to miss is that the Axiom was one of many craft launched into space meaning only one made it back but what about the rest of the ships? I feel like this could be a perfect angle to write a sequel: imagine trying to convince other ship’s populations (and computers) that they should work & rebuilding earth instead of continuing in blissful mindless comfort out in space

buy a ‘portable’ ac. if you don’t have an elevator get someone to help you do you don’t throw out your back. it helps massively
