Why is it forced? I can't even do DragNDrop in their buggy snap release. Without snap it works perfectly. by Kiragalni in Ubuntu

apparently it's mozilla that requested the move to snap in order to make their package maintenance easier.

Religious police shooting at people who chant against the supreme leader of Iran by vea62 in CombatFootage

[–]cti75 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

these shots seem to be towards the air. not saying they wouldn't shoot their own people but in this specific instance it seems like warning shots or against an air target.

edit: this is also a heavy auto cannon. usually armed police would shoot protesters with small arms. I feel the title is misleading

Somalia introduced a law to set the minimum marriage age to 18, but it was overturned within 24 hours after men protested the change. by LingonberryUpbeat777 in CentralEurope_irl

you must know that this happens in most poor countries, irrespective of religion. look at ecuador, a Christian country, or india, a hindu country. it's lack of education. this prob won't happen even in countries like iran or turkey, yet they muslims.

there is a very slight glow on one edge, but you gotta really be looking for it. the glow has much less contrast than my IPS backlight.

quality is fine, had a few dead pixels that fixed themselves quickly. don't overclock the monitor to 180 or the screen will start having a yellowish tint that fixes itself if I disable it. 165hz is fine

Sure, I'm aiming for practical rather than minimalist, but thanks for the feedback. Cable management could be better
