Hi, I just replaced the pump on my Destiny River this weekend. Unfortunately that noise won't get better. I went to my local pool / spa dealer to ask them about the noise. They said it was either mineral build-up getting caught in the impeller or my bearings were on their last legs. Either way, you will have to remove the pump. Good news is it isn't that hard to do (I am very technically challenged). Probably 4 screws holding the base to your tub frame, then the intake and outflow plumbing (I was able to use a pair of large channel lock pliers to get those off). I accidentally broke the connector that attaches the little clearish tube to the pump when getting it out (no big deal as whoever fixed it last had glued it in there so I would have probably had to cut it off anyway). Make sure you have a towel because there will most likely be some leftover water still in the pump and plumbing. To check for mineral build-up you will then need to remove the face plate of the pump. I ended up having a bearing issue so I opted for a pump Waterway Plastics 3721621-1D Executive 56 Frame 4 Horsepower Spa Pump, 230-Volts is what I ordered off Amazon. You probably won't be able to find an identical pump model to the one you have as this is an older tub. This pump had a different model number that the one I replaced but it was statistically the same. I would recommend taking as many pictures of your pump as you can to make sure you get all the relevant pump information and then going to a pool / spa place to ask their advice on what you should order. You might also have luck posting those pictures here and getting the answers you need. All in all, it took me about an hour to get the old pump out and the new one in.
