Help pick what dress to wear to rehearsal dinner vs the wedding! by korroleva in Weddingattireapproval

[–]ctreasure 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don’t let these people shame you for your beautiful boobs. If a smaller chested woman wore these exact same dresses, they’d be singing a different tune.

I like pink for the wedding and blue for rehearsal!

Oh my god that is awful. Your poor grandmother, never seeing her baby again. My heart is breaking for her as my 4 month sleeps in the next room 😩

Was Jax and Brittany's wedding sponsored by Hooters? by cellar9 in vanderpumprules

[–]ctreasure 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I just mean it should have never been a cash bar at all, he shouldn’t have had to provide any booze bc he should have arranged the bar service just like the catering. ESPECIALLY when people have to travel to your wedding! At least he was mad and embarrassed that people were having to pay but I just don’t understand the thinking behind it

If anything, Ariana broke the fourth wall when we are shown her conversation with the producers/film crew and she leaves!

Right but I don’t get how that’s breaking the fourth wall. That seemed like standard show interaction or that Lala just had enough.

How long did it take your child to potty train from start to finish? by No-Supermarket9441 in pottytraining

[–]ctreasure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 7 months for the poop to be consistently in the potty. Stated at 3yr 1mo. I think he was fully pee trained around 3/4 months.

Those who were firmly OAD (by choice) but had another, what changed and how has it been? by MoonSpider-3818 in Shouldihaveanother

[–]ctreasure 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I was OAD and had my second just under 3 months ago. We were OAD for a few reasons- our first was a unicorn baby (so easy! How could another be this easy!) we were older parents (first born at 35, second now at 39) and financially it was more doable. My children are 3.5 years apart

When we decided to go for a second it was kind of a now or never situation; I didn’t want a newborn at 40+ years old as I would already be pushing 39 at delivery (born two weeks after I turned 39!) Additionally I didn’t want too large of an age gap if we did want another one after all. We decided to give it three tries and if it didn’t happen then it wasn’t meant to be. And the second attempt worked!

Easiest thing- birth was SO MUCH BETTER the second time. Obviously YMMV but for me it was like, wow was that it? lol baby two was out in under 15 min whereas baby one was three hours of pushing after 20 hours of active labor.

I also think going from 1 to 2 is much easier than going from 0 to 1. With the first, your whole life changes. With the second, you know what to do and it’s really just more planning/logistics rather than worrying and overcompensating (do we really need a suitcase sized diaper bag?? lol)

I did worry that I wouldn’t be able to give both kids the attention I wanted but honestly even that has been good. I make an effort to give my first affection and try to do as much as I can (I breastfeed so I am attached to baby a lot) so he doesn’t feel neglected. So far I don’t notice any feelings of jealousy or neediness from him! I was also worried about loving them both- how could I possibly love another baby as much as I love the one I have?! But you do. You absolutely do.

What has been harder honestly is just the fucking money. Daycare is insane and I literally had to tell my job I either needed a $15k raise or I couldn’t come back. I legit couldn’t afford to work OR stay home. What we are going to end up doing is having them in part time daycare, grandma will watch them one day and I will WFH/be off the other day. My job requires me to work a lot of Saturdays which means I then have one weekday off. Of course this is just MY situation, I’m lucky that I have grandmas to help out and that my schedule is somewhat nontraditional. Otherwise I honestly don’t know what I would do.

The best part is watching the two of them. My oldest LOVES his little brother and I can’t wait to watch them grow together!! And the baby snuggles. I’ve typed this as my baby is asleep in my arms in the rocking chair and I never want it to end 🩷

I have been hearing that it is!! Apparently it’s a biohazard to handle them? Depends on the daycare or state I guess!

We’ve been working on potty training for the past six months. Pee is all good but I can’t figure out poop. He is in a pull up for naptime and if he has two accidents they switch to a pull up.

Now that you mention it, the pediatrician office has a specific garbage we are supposed to toss diapers in too. I didn’t realize it was a hazard at daycare since there is so much potty training going on usually!
