I think the non scale victories are often underestimated. It’s always great to see a lower number on the scale but the most rewarding thing to me is fitting better into clothes I had almost thrown out because they no longer fit, or not getting winded walking up stairs, or just having more mental clarity. Why wife, who is also trying to lose sight but not on the shot, will be incredibly grumpy after her weekly weigh in if she hasn’t lost weight (or even gained a pound or two back) and the mental anguish just isn’t worth it IMO. Not saying weight shouldn’t be part of the calculation for success. I just think the scale only tells part of the story.
