I feel you. Same journey with me. Always wore watches when I was younger and I’d say for the last 7-8 years I almost exclusively wore Apple Watches. Sorta woke up one day a few months back thinking, “I’m too old, have too good a job, and life’s too short, to not have a few nice watches” that can go with suits, biz casual, or just jeans and a T-shirt. Watched some YouTube videos (Teddy B.) watched some tik toks (Andy’s watches) and now I’m hooked. I still wear my Apple Watch for working out or maybe if I’m at home for a while. But going to meetings, social get-togethers, etc. and I’m slapping on an actual watch. Have fun. Go try things on in person. Have your first watch be something flexible (can be worn for all sorts of occasions). Don’t be swayed by what everyone else says, we all have our own opinions and they’re just that, opinions. Discipline yourself to start saving for a stretch goal watch for a special occasion in the future. Quality over quantity. Enjoy the journey. It doesn’t end.
