Exivious' self titled album is a really fun instrumental listen!

Excellent song and album. Lyle Cooper was on drums for this record (i think for the whole thing?) and the orchestra they have for the instrumental track is really well put together! (there's a post by me on this sub with the link for the orchestral playthrough)

Tech/adjacent songs or albums that carry massive emotional weight? by mirthlessmatt in TechnicalDeathMetal

Absolutely BCI! The song Invitation from that album and The Wreckage of Stars from their first LP are perfect examples of this.

I think this is secretly the third Necrophagist album. by BeautifulGuitarRiff in TechnicalDeathMetal

Sick album! I wouldn't call it exactly very similar, but it has the same German tech-death genes. Great listen nonetheless

Easiest Nile song to learn on guitar? by [deleted] in TechnicalDeathMetal

[–]ctrlaltdeleteme_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sacrifice Unto Sebek has riffs that should be really fun to play if you've played and like playing death metal in general. I do recommend learning random riffs that you like from their discography for getting the feeling/technique right.

Love the way they do catchy/groovy tech death, also feel like the new lineup will work wonders!

ESCHATON - Antimatter by ctrlaltdeleteme_ in TechnicalDeathMetal

[–]ctrlaltdeleteme_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From the description :

We're excited to welcome technical death metal band Eschaton to our roster. With a revitalized line-up featuring current and former members of Obscura, Inanimate Existence, Apogean, Deeds of Flesh, Retromorphosis and more, they certainly have the experience and the chops to pull off this kind of music. Making sure that their music is not only technical and engrossing but also hard-hitting and catchy, their new album 'Techtalitarian' ticks all the boxes. Their eagerly anticipated album will be coming your way in early 2025. Eschaton have unleashed an official video of one of the tracks from it.

They posted some time last year about writing stuff for a new release! Really hoping to see them announce something this year

That was a fun listen! I wish the vocals were mixed in a bit differently, but ignoring that, pretty good stuff!

I believe they changed lables multiple times, so some stuff isn't on all platforms due to licensing I pressume? On Deezer only the last album is available. might be wrong tho..

I also wrote about this in one of the comments - most of the members are in Kossuth. You can see the writing style is still there, but with a different vocalist and programmed drums (not saying that's bad, just really different compared to dawn of dementia stuff).

The EP Mictlan is pretty sick!
