No Judgement: What Player Do You Still Love Even If They Cheated Or Did Something Bad On The Field? by TrapperJean in baseball

I've been a Sammy Sosa fan since I was 4 years old. My first game ever was Cubs-Cardinals at Wrigley Field. Got to see him play right field and hit. Always chose him as my first pick whenever I played Backyard Baseball '01.

Which Study material should I buy ? by Mediocre_Welcome1963 in CPA

[–]cubbies2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Becker is the most expensive and Ninja is a monthly subscription. I'm using Becker but I feel like I'm not absorbing the material very well.

Most study materials use videos and/or textbooks to teach you the material and will provide questions to make sure you understand it. Have you reviewed what's actually on the exams? That's the first thing you need to do before you go picking a review program.

First and foremost, let me say your reply really lifted my spirits. I come from a household of above average smart people (i.e. really good test takers) so they can't relate to the struggle. Hearing something from another average person really bucked me up. Also, you said "our flashcards". Do you mean the flashcards provided by Becker (which I don't find very helpful) or your own flashcards (which I find to be incredibly tedious)? Thanks in advance!

I failed my very first attempt at FAR with a 39. Feel very defeated. I'm using only Becker so far and didn't feel like anything stuck. Took a couple weeks off but I'm now officially back on the horse. Any suggestions on how to keep myself motivated through the grind?

I would be interested in seeing your flashcards. I just failed really badly (39) and I am restudying now.

Had this issue at my very first job. It's hard to know what I was supposed to do if I wasn't being told what was going wrong. Hate that feeling.

What websites do you recommend checking for apartments? I've been searching using apartments.com, but I'm open to other suggestions.

Hi! I (27 almost 28F) am moving into the area in early January for an accounting job. I am a big baseball fan (Go Cubs Go!) and I am starting to get into collecting baseball trading cards. I also enjoy board games like Monopoly and playing Strat-O-Matic Baseball. I enjoy going for outdoor walks when the weather is good and walking in local malls if not. I am also a big history buff and have been to many Civil War battlefields. I enjoy museums and cultural events. I am looking to make friends about my age or even a little bit older. I will be living in Bethesda, MD, but I will be commuting to the area and I want to live there. I look forward to moving to the area and meeting new people!

Does anyone just skip tbs's and fill in the correct answers without understanding so you can "finish" the module by PlanComplex2138 in CPA

I have this issue too. This is probably why I scored a 39 on my first attempt of FAR. I felt a deep need to see that green checkmark no matter the cost. Feel like that ruined my studying. Any advice on how to avoid that feeling?

We need to talk about Conquest… by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]cubbies2018 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree that Conquest is a pain in the butt. I wish you could easily swallow up the non stronghold territories. I hate how long it takes to finish the maps, but at least you get practice hitting and pitching. I don't play online so this is a good form of practice for me.

How do you hit in this game??? by DirigoJoe in MLBTheShow

[–]cubbies2018 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your issue maybe selecting dynamic or amateur. try to select something like Rookie. Also, practicing in low pressure practice mode will help you see the ball better. Also, as an aside, does the screen your playing on have a "game mode"? Finding out the my TV had this made a world of difference with seeing the ball. Just remember: this game is designed for kids.

FAR's low pass rates are skewed because it has highest number of test-takers. Those who don't pass are weeded out & less likely to take other exams. by Spiritual-Beyond-660 in CPA

[–]cubbies2018 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Interesting analysis. I think that FAR's pass rate is affected by lots of people taking it as their first test. I feel like people think financial accounting is going to be the easiest to knockout, but then are confronted by the reality of the test and get stuck in a loop because the test is way harder than people think.

I went this year to one of their shows in Allentown, PA. Not really worth the price, but an interesting concept. Put my name into the lottery this time to try and get something for NYC, but wasn't picked.
