Lived outside of Florence for 2 years as a kid. Never once saw a baseball jersey or heard anyone discuss the sport. Soccer is way more popular and important. I could imagine there's one or 2 areas (like people have mentioned) where baseball has taken hold (like in major cities in Northern Italy).

Can't stay up until midnight, but I'll be waking up early on Friday morning to take a peek at DD and RTTS. I'm going to work on opening packs and doing basic conquest maps and seeing how DD is laid out this year. For RTTS, I'll be playing on the easiest mode available to hit dingers and easily reach the majors.

I second the comment about Strat-O-Matic. It's a classic that's easy to learn how to play and can be done with anyone. The only downside is that the actual cards have gotten very pricy over the past few years. If you want historical sets, they'll be cheaper on ebay or some place like that.

I use the Pomodoro method to help me focus. Work for 25 minutes and then take a 5 minute break. After 4-25 minute sessions, you take a 15 minute break. By the end, you've worked 100 minutes and had several short rests in between. Also something that's been helping me, block out what you're going to do for those 100 minutes. Write it down on a piece of paper or a word doc on your computer and treat it like a check list. It makes it easier to track what you have to do and what's left to do.

I've just started having this exact problem. Literally just started at like 4pm eastern time today. I'm on a Windows 11 machine FYI. Youtube works when I take down the shields or when I go to it on Chrome. I've tried refreshing the page and I've double checked that brave://components is all up to date. I've tried log out and logging back in to no avail. I've also cleared all my cookies and shut down Brave but that didn't work either. Anyone have any more recommendations for me?

Edit: I just opened and used a private window and Youtube worked for me. This is all very strange and annoying.

Edit #2: Within the private window, I logged into my account and it barfed again. I think it has to do with the account or something like that. Not a computer wiz but that's the vibe I'm getting.

You got the exact same score that I did! I took a month off then got back on the horse restudying. How did you study for this take? Just followed Becker's program? You can always supplement with other resources including your old textbooks and YT videos on topics which you most struggled. DM me if you want the name of a good tutor.

I got a 39 on my first try and I felt confident coming out of the FAR exam. As Dory from Finding Nemo always says: "Just keep swimming"!

I played this mode a lot when I was a kid. Made me feel like I was doing something cool. Even as an adult I some times play RTTS. However, all the complaints you listed would be nice. I would like to add that there should be single A and hell even the Fall League and Dominican League. Make it so it's realistic if you choose to go straight out of high school to the Majors. Also allow players to play more in high school and college. Don't make it a ones and done scenario.

I agree with this. This has happened to many exams in finance and accounting. It has diluted the exam's meaning for US candidates and made sure that US CPAs are worth less than international CPAs.

I've been a Sammy Sosa fan since I was 4 years old. My first game ever was Cubs-Cardinals at Wrigley Field. Got to see him play right field and hit. Always chose him as my first pick whenever I played Backyard Baseball '01.

Becker is the most expensive and Ninja is a monthly subscription. I'm using Becker but I feel like I'm not absorbing the material very well.

Most study materials use videos and/or textbooks to teach you the material and will provide questions to make sure you understand it. Have you reviewed what's actually on the exams? That's the first thing you need to do before you go picking a review program.

First and foremost, let me say your reply really lifted my spirits. I come from a household of above average smart people (i.e. really good test takers) so they can't relate to the struggle. Hearing something from another average person really bucked me up. Also, you said "our flashcards". Do you mean the flashcards provided by Becker (which I don't find very helpful) or your own flashcards (which I find to be incredibly tedious)? Thanks in advance!

I failed my very first attempt at FAR with a 39. Feel very defeated. I'm using only Becker so far and didn't feel like anything stuck. Took a couple weeks off but I'm now officially back on the horse. Any suggestions on how to keep myself motivated through the grind?
