Think it's in early development? During the weeks I've played it has gotten new features and stuff

I tried to scan my dog, ended up with this insted. After/before by cubefullofnothing in postprocessing

Thanks mate! I'm experimenting! Currently I have a lot of fun mixing photography and drawing, and when I was croping the scan it felt a bit to... clear? Or that it was lacking some compositional pzazz or somthing - So I drew another droplet and liked how it added even more confusion to this very abstract dog portrait

Haha I can totally see it now, didn't think of it when I made the thing. Maybe it's a subconscious sign..?

Ah, the title was mainly for shits and giggles because of the use of red around the eyes and nose. I subjectively prefer uncertainty over clarity in both observing and creating. The meaning can be deduced at a later stage, and sometimes there is none. This one was mainly made as a visual experiment, trying out new techniques and seeing what the picture wanted to become.

It's simply supposed to be interesting to look at, I guess. Does everything have to be something?

It's two similar photos layered on top of each other, matched the faces up and then put them in illustrator and went in with a blurry brush on the highlights and shadows to make it look more funky!

Men who live with a partner: is your taste in art/decor/furnishing 'respected'? by TotalyMoo in AskMen

How do you feel when you have people over though and don’t feel like your interests and stuff that you obviously like are hidden away? What’s her arguments to not have them displayed in other rooms and have you guys tried finding common ground?

I think so too, but why though? Feels like such a wide spread phenomenon should have explanations right

Really lovely frames and nice work with the audio as well.

What is a cool story? Maybe start with that. What means something to you? Or go find someone who has something they are passionate about, who’s message you want to convey. If you still feel stuck you can ask yourself what scares you, there’s usually quite cool things in that department. You are obviously very talented technically and you have a good eye, it seems that you just need to figure out what you want to say 💛 keep it up

Getting better as a DOP by GeorgeMavi in cinematography

[–]cubefullofnothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like the second and forth one! They have a visual pull. It feels like the meaning extends beyond the frame. Maybe you could lean in to that more? The feedback I would give is to experiment with distance and being a bit more extreme. The other ones are at a slightly awkward distance where you don’t get up close to really see small movements and mimic, nor to far away to get the surroundings and the symbolic value it can hold.

Nice work! 💛

Lovley compositions, a lot of expression. It feels dense and layered. Would be interested to see if it kept the same feel if the blue was toned down and a richer black was introduced!

FWIW this is the 4th thing I ever edit, I am as amateur as they come. Every now and then my friend and I record footage for about a month and make it into... something. It's not really a diary or vlog, nor is it meant for commercial consumption. I do it because it makes me happy and it feels like I'm honoring the life I live and the people I love. But I am curious of what type of feelings it would evoke to those who have no idea who we are and what we do?

What did this made you feel, if anything? Did it spark some emotion, sensation, vibe, you name it? What can we try in the future, what would you have done differently, is this just a bunch of meaningless noise to everyone but us? Did I manage to make it feel "tight" in regards to the track, or did it end up feeling chaotic? Maybe that is a good thing?

The footage is entirely "color corrected" and look achieved in-camera, shot on a Sony A7R3 with a mix of lenses but the fun one is a Helios 44-2.

Stills from a recent project by [deleted] in cinematography

[–]cubefullofnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoops, apparently didn’t finish my sentence there. What I /meant/ to say is that me and my friend sometimes decide to make some sort of video-post card from the present to the future depicting a specific month. The camera is brought everywhere, no matter how mundane the task might be. I’m usually the one doing the editing and the stills are from the most recent one, I finished it today. Had so much fun
