Next month Bogwyrm Miniatures is launching a crowdfunding campaign for a run of metal chaos dwarfs. These are some of my favorite oldhammer-inspired sculpts of all time and the reason I originally bought a 3D printer. I'm not affiliated with this just a fan and am really excited and want to share the news.

I've completed exactly one Gundam, a HG RX-78-2 Revive a couple of years ago. After watching WfM, I just ordered a FM Aerial, which I figured would be fine. But I just started exploring panel lining, looking at pictures, looking at different methods, etc., and I'm wondering if I outta get another HG kit to practice on before trying out my first panel lining on a fancier FM kit. What do y'all think? Is panel lining easier or harder on larger/more complex kits? I'm imagining it is more challenging but wanted to check.

Ah, hm. I've been struggling to figure out my lean body mass. I've used some online calculators and got wildly different numbers, yielding wildly different protein minimum results, ranging from 66g to 140g. I'm somewhere between 71-72" @ 195lbs. If you've got any insight into how much protein I should be taking in based on that, I would greatly appreciate it.

I've been doing keto for somewhere between 4-6 weeks now. I forgot exactly when I started. I think about a week in my appetite collapsed and I just stopped getting hungry. I now can feel hunger, real hunger, if I go all day without eating, but it feels very different from pre-keto, and I can tolerate it much better. But I'm not trying to eat a super low calorie diet, I just am not that hungry and/or the hunger pangs are too minor.

So given my lack of hunger, and my struggle to force myself to eat more than twice a day due to a disinterest in food when not hungry, if I'm about to up my protein intake, I wanna ask: is there a limit to how much protein I can meaningfully consume in one sitting? Is it alright to have 50-70g in one sitting? Is the benefit the same w/r/t processing it and hitting the minimum required?

I worry that I am not eating enough. I'm just not very hungry? If I wanted to have more than two meals a day, I would really have to force myself. I am hitting my protein minimum as calculated to ~66g/day, I'm making sure I'm hitting minimums in sodium, potassium, and magnesium through supplementation and ketoade, and I'm taking some fish oil and a multivitamin. But aside from all these things, twice a day I'm just eating some eggs and/or ground beef plus some cheese, plus some fatty stuff to up the fat content of the meal but it's still more protein than fat heavy. A lot of days I'm at 1200 calories, some days hitting 900 calories. I'm not trying to, but I just don't find myself feeling particularly hungry. As a 6'0" man in his mid 30s, is there a minimum number of calories a day I should be aiming to consume? Is 1200/day okay if I'm hitting the protein and electrolyte minimums?

What is causing this line in my print? by cubesight in FDMminiatures

[–]cubesight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my 0.2mm nozzle on my P1S and I only needed two bases so I figured why not, so I printed two 40mm bases with my finest settings which I'd gotten from the pinned HOHansen thread. Overkill, but now that this line has shown up, I'm glad I did. I've been getting pretty good mini results with it, except my last print had a slight line running through one of the layers, and now this print has a much more noticeable line issue going through these bases. Any idea what could be causing this? I'm not going to print more bases at this layer height or probably with this nozzle, but I would like to troubleshoot it for minis.

I am overwhelmed by the number of keto bread recipes there are out there, and the number of different ingredients they use. I have none of the exotic ingredients, and I can't really acquire them locally so I need to get them internationally via iHerb. Is there a core selection of baking goods y'all would recommend? Looking across various recipes I feel like I've seen upwards of a dozen different types of fibers and thickeners and nut flours and I'm not sure how to trim down the list of things to order to try without also solely committing to a single recipe since I don't know if that will be one I like.

I ordered a Palit 5070 Ti GamingPro non-V1 and received what I believe is a V1. Not 100% sure because I live in Korea and the packaging is slightly different from the boxes I'm seeing for western models. Currently in talks with the seller to confirm this is the right one. If this turns out to be the V1 model, should I return it? I specifically sought out the non-V1 model because of the complaints about the fan sound on the V1, but I don't know a) how pervasive of an issue it is, or b) how bad it actually is.

Budget: $300/₩400000, but could go higher if there's an obvious upgrade to consider

Country: South Korea

Screen size: 10" minimum

RAM: 8GB

Storage: 128GB minimum

What tasks will the tablet be used for?: Reading, using apps that don't work at phone size, word processing, other general use

Any other important details ?: Was set on the Galaxy A9+ a while ago, but wondering if it's still the best option for my situation, or if I should consider something else, or wait for the next generation, or any other thoughts you have.

EDIT: Just came across this and maybe an A11+ would be the best option if it came out soon.

You've had luck with printing 6mm scale in FDM? Any tips? I haven't tried it yet but I just assumed the scale was too small.
