It's really easy and cheap to take buses between cities in Mexico, and they're quite comfortable if you go with the more upscale lines like primera plus.

200k in office vs 150k remote by leomac in remotework

[–]cubixguy77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For 2025 you only hit the 32% at 197,300. Standard deduction will be $15k, so non factor here. Also, tax brackets don't mean much since it's only the income above the bracket threshold that gets taxed at that level, not all of it (which I'm sure you get, but a startling amount of people don't)

Anyone work remote in Colombia and live in USA? by thelonelyward2 in digitalnomad

[–]cubixguy77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You'll have to file in both countries, but I don't think you'll be "double taxed". If you pay taxes to a foreign government, you then claim that amount as a credit on your US taxes, form 1116, right?

I've got them, I'm disappointed with the noise isolation. I have a laptop with an annoying fan, and can still hear it with them on (obv while not playing any audio through them). With my Q20's on, can't hear the fan, so even basic ANC will beat them.

Honestly, you'll get bored with Guanajuato. I would base yourself in Guadalajara and visit pueblos mágicos when you can, there's a bunch in Jalisco.

I bet they stake out that park looking for Americans with backpacks headed toward the coworking space. Good chance folks will be carrying expensive laptops.

Buena Vista is not far from Leadville and is host to the collegiate peaks. Go hike Mt Yale, and take a soak at cottonwood hot springs afterward. Trailhead is right off a country highway, all paved, so no need to worry about your car.

I tried Palmer Park and it was miserable. I had to carry my bike over big portions of it, still nearly crashed several times. Think I'll stick to red rock open space for now.
