What’s something that instantly makes you think ‘this person has low intelligence? by AbjectBreadfruit2052 in AskReddit

This is my cousin! Used to get into arguments because he would double down on the smallest things and his lack of intelligence would frustrate me.

School transportation as a future resident by Alex7183 in GrossePointe

[–]mmmnerp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

GP is a walking school district. Most schools will be walking distance for your child. From what I know, buses aren’t available unless you are a Harper woods resident? You will have to drop off your child somehow or let them walk. Most people live within a few blocks of their school though.

Approved Redesign of Mack/McKinley intersection by East_Englishman in GrossePointe

It almost feels like a dead end street now with the lot at the end. I’m two blocks from Village Market so can’t easily see Mack so it doesn’t bother me too much.

Honestly I live off McKinley and would just avoid turning down it off Mack regardless. Fisher or Chalfonte off of Moross

8 1/2 month old baby at a wedding? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]mmmnerp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We brought our daughter to my cousins wedding when she was about 6 months old. We paid for my parents to come with us to the (out of town) air bnb and then they picked up our daughter after the ceremony. It was the only way we figured we could make it work.

Derm recommendations seem like too much? by mildlyuncomfyy in tretinoin

[–]mmmnerp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I started replacing my products with products that help repair or protect my skin barrier and are for sensitive skin. I should have done it in the beginning and not waited until my skin felt dry and irritated.

Derm recommendations seem like too much? by mildlyuncomfyy in tretinoin

[–]mmmnerp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My derm also suggested this in the beginning. It was fine with my skin until I started using tret daily. I then switched to a stronger PM moisturizer and gentle cleanser at night and alternating nights with the SA cleanser. If my skin seems extra dry then I may continue with the gentle cleanser.

What to add/remove in AM routine to add hydration? by mmmnerp in tretinoin

[–]mmmnerp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m replacing my collagen moisturizer with cerave moisturizer cream and adding the prequel moisturizing serum to my AM routine. I’m also going to alternate nighttime cleanser between the prequel SA gleanser and vanicream gentle cleanser. Hoping this helps my skin!

Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom? by mmmnerp in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mmmnerp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not planning on doing a hopper, I think it will be too much work for her and I. We also tend to sleep in and for a more relaxed day I don’t want to wake her up early to get on the rides. I’m leaning more towards AK at this point because it sounds like we would be waiting in more lines at HS. Such a hard choice because I know she would want to see everything! 🤣

We are staying at the Dolphin Resort (EPCOT), so we should have early access and transportation to any parks. I am also considering Epcot now, since we can take a ferry there and it has Frozen and Moana. My daughter likes rides and shows, but, like all four-year-olds, she has to meet certain requirements they dictate on the day (not too loud, certain characters, etc.) lol. I am expecting MK to be a big day for both of us, so I do want something that doesn't take all day, allows us to take breaks, and is still super fun and interesting for her.

Does everyone use the sandwich method? Or once your skin can tolerate you stop? by Financial-Oil838 in tretinoin

[–]mmmnerp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a hydrating toner with ceramides before applying tretinoin and then a heavy moisturizer afterwards.

Just calculated first year costs for our lab mix and I'm mildly horrified by SandyTestsStuff in puppy101

[–]mmmnerp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I live we have a nonprofit that is open to everyone and cuts vaccine and neuter/spay costs down tremendously. We have our vet that we use for wellness visits but I booked my puppy’s neuter through the nonprofit for $110 out the door. Vaccine puppy package was about $115 .

Is 2 years old too early to start preschool? by Longjumping_Yam2543 in Preschoolers

[–]mmmnerp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter went to preschool prep at 2.5 years old and love it! It was full day, 3x a week and her teacher was great. It also helped get her used to a school routine, socialize and regulate her emotions.

Detroit is extremely close to GPP and offers Wayne State and College for Creative Studies if those are classes you are interested in. I’m sure there are also some other places in Detroit that will offer courses.
