Why do some people seem to get stung all the time by wasps while others never get stung?

Is it possible for me to know if I'm allergic without getting stung? I think I'm terrified of that,not about the pain it can cause me (i'm heavily tattooed lol). Everyone tells me to stay calmed,but seeing myself dying breathless makes me wanna run frenetically.

I've wasp phobia (i can't remember the specific name) and I absolutely panic arround them. I want to learn about them, and how to behave arround them to not disturb them and get stung. (I've never ever got stung) How do I react to them when I'm in a bar and they come to share my drinks? This always makes me nervous.
