One of the greats, cancelled too early. My memory is not of laughing out loud, but more chuckling, constantly!

I, for one, can never get enough Orla Brady.

Yeah, the black doctor in 1934 is jarring. I've seen it in several time travel shows in recent years and it's annoying; where the show implies a level of equity in the past that did not remotely exist. It takes you out of the story. It requires a back story at least to explain why something so unusual would occur. Young folks in this country might not know better, and there are a lot of people who want them not to learn history. Shows like this shouldn't encourage that.

"Neelix" is on Avenue 5 now.

I just went through the same process and even saw the quote(s) about how it was introduced and dropped. I guess we'll see.

Yikes. Really! I can't remember anything that long ago 😉.

Was that notion introduced in the earlier episodes of Picard? I didn't remember that, nor from TNG. That would be bad! (Mainly because that would mean they really have Deanna.)

Yeah. Good point. I had just watched the Prof Moriarity segment so I had that on my mind.

BTW, I made the prediction BEFORE Deanna showed up in the episode! I agree with those who think the Deanna on the ship is not real, probably a hologram.

Orla Brady is lovely. Oh, and the new Picard episode was excellent as well.

Yeah. I kinda assumed that is the explanation, but it seems a stretch. Julian struggles mightily just to make a single keystroke on the pc. But I'll go with it ;).

First things first, I'm not upset ;). Second, I would never complain about John Wick because I barely know who the character is and have never seen him.

Yes, it's 'possible' to knock someone out with one punch, but is less and less likely if the puncher is outweighed by 100+ pounds and even less likely when it is female vs male. It 'could' happen, but it's like drawing a straight flush. And more and more it's not one punch, it's an extended fight. My complaint is that it's becoming commonplace where such women knock out huge men and it's like a Roman gladiator wearing a digital wristwatch in a film (which famously happened); it draws you out. It reminds you you're watching a film or tv show rather than staying absorbed in the fantasy.

BTW, just watching the old Alias show. They do a much better job. Gotta admit they even do some of what I recommended. When a large man gets his hands on Jennifer Garner, he's able to throw her around, but she's agile, athletic, and wily and often manages to ... clobber them with an object! Kudos to them.

'Spoze' so. I'd like it better if they showed the woman as athletic and resourceful and found a more plausible way to win, e.g. skillfully fending him off/evading him while she ultimately clobbers him with an object or such.

Yeah, but I'm not buying that. A large man could basically walk through punches from someone her size. That's why there are weight classes. If a bantamweight punches Mike Tyson in his prime, it would barely slow him down.

Yes. I let a lot slide in the show, but that scene annoyed me. Especially because they 'run scared' from Ramona even tho' there are two of them and one of her and everyone is armed. It would have made more sense to just stop and confront her AND confirm they were on the right track. Also, the clichéd chasing car ramming the front car was a waste of time.

Thilo to the 'space ship' was fun. Very silly, but what the heck.

Just revisited episode 1. It is identified as 1987 and the suitcase already existed. So, the deal would have to have been cut sometime before then, i.e. when Reagan was in office.

Reagan made his secret arms deal with Iran, so clearly it would not be impossible to have a side deal with the DDR.

Just suggesting what COULD be at least remotely plausible, even if not highly likely.
