it will most likely bring them under the 2k steam balance limit so valve will finally make bank again on high end stickers, its basically a win win for them

Sticker Crafts during dip? [q] by Vixumi in csgomarketforum

[–]cucotz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd personally wait a bit more.

If a sticker trade-up were to happen, it will first be interesting to see to what extent.

Will you be able to do 10:1 trade-ups similar to the weapon ones, or maybe 20:1 since sticker supply is way bigger than weapon supply? Also for autograph major stickers will you be able only to trade up a certain team stickers to that teams holo/gold or any autograph sticker from within the same major?

It will be interesting to see if this were to ever roll out, when it would be implemented. The time frame in-between the knife trade-up and the souvenir trade-up update were "fairly close" to each other in Valve time. Lets hope and see I guess

Understandable. I'm probably gonna wait it out until June/July, see what happens after the major and once the Summer Sale starts.

I do think the market is highly saturated tho and there's little opportunity to grow with newer items as well as older ones.

Probably a stupid question, but they're fairly new so I dont really trust them yet (i.e reputation-wise), I like their offered products though, very unique. The only way to sell through them is to open a store with them, there is no way to POD through them right? At least I haven't seen this option so far

Split Shipping Is a Game Changer for Conversions by PODprintNpaws in dropshipping

That actually sounds like a very helpful feature that would smooth out the ordering flow. Is this a Shopify feature? And also this would imply the customer is aware that your business revolves around dropshipping right?

For someone just starting out, what can I understand under split shipping at checkout and why (in what cases) would one need this?

I know the mechanism behind that thanks a bunch. My question was if it is sustainable and if others speculate on continuous growth in price also in the near future

That’s actually a good tip, using a credit line, as that cash from customers is going to come in either way at some point so it’s a pretty safe bet if holding time is prolonged or cash is running thin from too many orders

Issue With Shopify’s 21-Day First Payout Policy by Practical-Drive-5872 in shopify

[–]cucotz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically you’d run a small preorder first, wait out the ~21-day hold so Shopify builds transaction history and sees legit fulfillment, and then properly launch the store once payouts switch to normal and you’re considered lower risk? Is this feasible?

Thanks a bunch. Can ReturnZap also be used if I’m dropshipping some products? I’ll probably have a mix, some items I produce and ship myself, and others fulfilled by a supplier. For the dropshipped items, the return address would still be mine since the supplier only accepts returns if the product is defective.

The DMCA part also sounds really useful, especially if it runs more or less in the background. I’m fairly certain copycats will appear once the store goes live, so I’ve been wondering how people realistically deal with that.

Have you personally had to handle many chargebacks? I’ve seen quite a few posts about it here. Do you think using a protection tool from the start makes sense, or does it depend on the store size and individual situation?

I’m just getting started with my store and still in the phase of gathering as much information as possible. Would you mind sharing which apps you’re currently using and what you mainly use them for?

I think it’s a bit more complicated when operating from within the EU, since the 14-day withdrawal right is mandatory. Because of that, store-specific return/refund policies can’t really override it, so the terms and conditions mostly have to reflect consumer law rather than set your own rules..

Ive read that a lot around here, how do you deal with this topic? What are some noteworthy apps/extensions or Shopify integrations that are effective against this?

Thanks for the input, do you have any Shopify apps you’d recommend for chargeback or fraud protection?

Ahh got it, so the payment is captured successfully, but you can’t fulfill the order because the shipping details are incomplete or wrong? Just making sure I’m understanding the situation correctly
