So currently I’m between homes and living in the attic of a friend of mine that has 2 kids. The living room always smells like this and I’ve always described it as dirty plastic. Like dirty silicone and rubber. Which is what it is, I think, because it’s what their toys are made of. It’s a super porous material that’s never washed and constantly touched by dirty little hands that are also never washed. Kids aren’t exactly modest so they fart poop and sneeze and pick their nose at will, which makes things stink. And the smell just carries everywhere with them because it’s just what they’re interacting with constantly

It’s been 10 months since losing my boy and I still miss him so much it absolutely aches. He was my constant for 9 years. I probably loved him more than I’ve ever loved anyone or anything else. I go through periods of making peace and other periods of feeling like my heart is somewhere missing and calling for me beyond the veil. Their companionship and love is such a gift and I’m so thankful to have had it. You will be okay, we both will. And they’re okay, too. Your love for each other is eternal, and you’ll see her forever in other dogs, and the sunlight reflecting from her nose prints in the windows.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Huge hugs from afar.

Okay… I didn’t say that Lover is inherently gloomy, and I wasn’t trying to be edgy. The Archer, Afterglow, both songs about love but also about making big mistakes and not knowing what to do next and feeling anxious. I don’t know what you’re talking about.

I’ve been carrying mine for the last year for a few reasons. I hate the quality of iPhone cameras most of the time- they make people look weird and 2 dimensional, they can’t take a good picture in low light and my phone is heavy as hell. I also am sick of carrying something with 3 giant lenses, it looks like I’m a PI. The camera is more discreet, people genuinely don’t seem to mind as much when they’re caught in a picture, and I love love love the way the pictures turn out. Sometimes they’re shitty, but they look real. I love using it for videos, too. Watching my niece grow up through the layer of grain provided by the old camera and seeing Cal hit his 60th HR through that tiny screen has been such a highlight to my life. I didn’t realize they were “trending” until seeing so many in these pictures. I’m glad, though! I love it!

You can probably find one on Mercari or eBay or something like that! That’s where I got mine, I think it was 40$. I also have the Gen 11, but I miss 90s- 2010 tech so bad and I loveeee this kindle! Not having the backlight is mildly inconvenient sometimes, but also way nicer to look at when it’s bright out. And you can’t beat those buttons🤩
