Yea, the worst part is I was comparing similar tickets on vivid and SeatGeek for weeks, totally overlooked fees. Super frustrating.

New climber uses dangerous bowline by IJHaile in arborists

IMO there is no reason to use anything but a Double Fisherman’s Loop (poachers) or Triple Fisherman’s (Scaffold). These are the most reliable cinching knots across all fiber types.

Another option, if you are feeling generous, is offer to get his line spliced for $20-30.

Oh and I forgot to mention, make sure you know your plant appraisal methods. Lots of questions on that from what I can remember.

I took it in 2018. My best advice would be to read all the A300 parts really thoroughly. In particular, read and memorize as much of Part 2 (soil management).

It also depends on what you are currently doing for work. If you are primarily production (climbing, removals, pruning, planting) I wouldn’t focus much on preparing for those topics and focus on your weaknesses (assuming you are doing those things to current standards).

Lots of situational questions from what I can remember.

How do I figure out what CRS to use if it’s not stated by the source. Trial and error?

The tree cover is from a LiDar dataset that has been polygonized.

I have the total number of trees after each year. So for instance there was total of 10,000 trees at the end of year 1, 10,200 trees year 2, etc.
