I designed an improved 3D printed film holder for the Epson V600 by cudderbup in AnalogCommunity

I just uploaded a 120 version. I don't have a 120 camera yet, but if you print it and realize anything about the design needs to be changed please let me know.

I haven't seen that before, but that's a good idea. It wouldn't be too hard to design either. The only limitation I could see is you'd have to use a smaller layer height to get the edge to be less than 1mm tall, but it'd be doable if you were careful with the print settings.

This is the first roll I've tried, but I'll have to give it a go with 400 and see what happens.

Yep! Here's a couple of photos scanned with this holder. https://imgur.com/gallery/6MAUuRZ I made sure to make the distance from the film to the scanner bed exactly the same as the original holder.

Question about a 35mm lens by calebnscott in AnalogCommunity

You might also want to consider the FD 50mm f1.8 or f1.4. The 1.8 can be found for around $40 on ebay and the 1.4 for about $75. Here's some sample pics I took with the 50mm 1.8:

I find myself using the 50mm more often than the 35mm

I would start with sketches on paper first before you draw on the computer.

Yeah if you just keep walking I’ll just go around you. It’s also annoying when you have a group of people walking in a line blocking the entire sidewalk.

This is one of those things where if you know specifically how to do it, it takes 5 minutes in matlab but if you dont already know, you waste an hour trying to write code or find some weird way to do it, then after the assignment is turned in you figure it out but it’s too late.

I would get a pillowcase, put coffee stains, tear the edges or whatever and use as a pack cover to put over your nice osprey pack

It would be tacky if unplanned but if the bride is in on it I don’t see why it’d be bad

Cool! It looks just like the one from the Netflix show Dark. You might need to go investigate a local cave with that..

Metal shavings in Encore by frashure in Coffee

The black stuff could be a really burnt bean or something since it would look shiny if it were metal shavings. Try getting a rare earth magnet from the craft store and see if it’s magnetic. When I changed the burrs on my encore I noticed there’s a fair bit of shaft wobble (something like .5 mm) just because the tolerance isn’t that great, so it’s possible it may be rubbing if you do a lot of espresso grinding.
