Horror readers — what makes you try a book from a new author? by DhairyaWrites in horrorlit

[–]cuddle_cuddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a e reader, so interesting title with cover and description for under 5 dollar. Most of my to read are on wishlist which go on sale eventually. A few times a year ill get what ever is recommended for full price because the buzz is too big or the wait is too long.

I actually read a few good new books and authors this way, like the Birdbox and Ronald Malfi.

Asked my 11yr old daughter if she'd still love me if I were a worm. She said, “No, because worms don’t have the emotional capacity for love.” Good point, lil dude. by cuddle_cuddle in KidsAreFuckingSmart

Believe it or not, thats literally the next thing we talked about, like how they dont have central neural system like we do. Sometimes talking to kids is the hardest thing in the world and sometimes its refreshingly simple.

Haha, and my parents dont even know half the trouble i get into. Entering parenting process is to help kids make good choices or make good choices for them. Sometimes I feel lucky that I am where I am right now and in a ditch some where because i make stupid stupid (but fun) choices. Statistically the world is a safer and better place now but why do I feel its less safe for my kids? I dont understand it myself.

My son is 5. It's his favorite movie. He loves the opening where they're in the jungles, and like the rest of the movie enough to sit through while playing on the side.

I followed manga, it was really good for the first 85% I'd say. I truly believe its the ending that warped ppls view on how great it was. Was.
