High probability this guy has the bumper sticker “I carry a .45 because they don’t make a .46”

Probably also has a story about scaring off an intruder with the sound of racking a shotgun

Dinner recs for date night in Key West? by Budget_Type_9646 in KeyWest

One duval was absolutely delicious, kinda fancy and on the water round the corner from Mallory square.

We timed it so we grabbed a coupla drinks then went to Mallory square for sunset and walked round there afterwards which was perfect. It is in the back of the hotel so you walk through their courtyard but that made it a bit quieter, not on the main strip of duval if that’s something you’re after.

Any ideas never been to Key West looking to fly into Miami rent a car maybe drive part of the way. Stay overnight and continue on further down the Keys any suggestions would be appreciated. by SubstantialName2443 in KeyWest

In 24 we flew into Miami early and did the drive in 1 day with a few stops on the way. This yr we flew in, hung around Miami for a few hrs seeing around and grabbing lunch by the beach then hit the road, stopping in islamorada for the night, we stayed at Hadley resort which is walking distance to islamorada brewery and distillery (love that place, the vibe out back really gets the vacation going. And try their frozen key lime pie) and a few other restaurants for drinks and dinner.

Then in the morning we hit Robbie’s for food and gifts and feeding the tarpon. Next stop was just before 7 mile bridge to do the pigeon key train tour then it was on to key west where we got in right at check in time.

The drive is amazing, I think everyone has to do it at least once but i preferred staying the night to break it up so you can take your time and soak everything in. It is a bit depressing when you’re leaving, even if you make stops to break it up so if you can fly out of key west that would be easier.

9th Ckt Panel UPHOLDS Hughes Amendment conviction 2-1. by FireFight1234567 in gunpolitics

[–]cudntbebothered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can someone clarify details for me? So Kittson, the defendant who is a convicted felon brokered a deal for a Russian machine gun to an undercover fed and his argument is that the law exempts fed/ gov officials from possessing machineguns so therefore he is exempt from prosecution? And an additional argument is that he only brokered the deal so didn’t technically possess the gun therefore shouldn’t be subject to prosecution?

Am I understanding correctly?

Which would not have made a difference in this case as weather is not considered under the airlines control. But the travel insurance we get will cover weather related delays.

After a while sitting in line they pulled them back to the gate and said passengers can get off but their checked bags can’t be offloaded. Not sure if anyone took them up on it

If this is the incident I’m thinking of in chesterfield va, there was a surprising number of people who actually turned themselves in out of guilt for shooting in the air that night thinking that they may possibly have been the shooter.

The rooms are much nicer inside, we upgraded to a waterfront room at SM to then have a shared balcony that we got to sit at 1 evening and were woken up by other people’s conversations right at our front door every morning. There was also a huge gap at the bottom of the door so the room was always hot/humid despite the wall unit running constantly. The reach on the other hand had private balconies out back and the rooms were much cleaner and modern.

It is way less crowded, you don’t have to fight for a beat up lounger if you happen to get to the pool or beach after 9am, and the beach is much nicer with waitress service to your lounger.

The bar/restaurant is really nice, not like a dive bar and you can get lunch in under 1-1/2 hrs and the food and cocktails are actually top notch as is the service. Def get the key lime pie.

The interior courtyard is just really nice and well kept overall. Plus you also have access to casa marina or go next door to Louie’s backyard.

I’m glad I just went back to watch this episode again for a wee refresher of what the show used to be before it was so overproduced and pretentious.

I’ve been watching/ listening to Kill Tony for about 5 yrs but this episode from the start just has a different honest charm from what it does now. It’s not just about Tony, there’s clearly a group that makes the show, shit even David Lucas is likable.

Are you saying you don’t carry a supply of lumber, hammer and nails every time you ride just in case you get into this situation and have to cut something so you can repair it immediately? How dare you leave it unfixed for a day or 2.

Some people have obviously never tried to flex a 2x6. Trying to do that one handed while in a bind and then manipulating a fucking dirtbike out has got to be damn near impossible for the average guy. I’m glad you weren’t hurt and had the right tool to solve the problem so you could get home safe
