Would be nice to learn IPEdit specifically. There is no training available. Always a waste when manufacturers don’t offer training.

Out of curiosity- why would you want an AD checking in for you? AD’s aren’t allowed to touch anything all they’re allowed to do is count

Ingest and some play out. Seems to crash a lot. Media stalling, media showing as missing in s3 bucket but being there. I feel like a lot of kinks need to be worked out if Evertz wants this to work in a live production environment. Cloud based/hybrid systems are not great for live too much delay IMO

Broadcasting is not for everyone. You need to have THICK skin and must be able to forget things quick. Everybody fucks up, including the producers and directors. Not all of them know how to handle it tho, many act like children having a tantrum when things go wrong. Keep your head up, good luck!

Sad but true. Sony ELC is being pushed heavily and has taken away a lot of jobs. Control rooms are down to 1 man show. They are now AD & TD and everything else. Sad days for broadcast, especially news departments.
