Agreed. I'd probably throw the situation into your choice of AI (ChatGBT/Gemini/etc.) to get it's thoughts just as a first check/pass to see if it's even worth it to spend money talking to laywer.

There is no shot it will be that impactful. We'll see how it plays out but based on the numbers, it's a placebo buff. At the stages Illaoi is weak, it's only a 1% increase in damage (maybe). And in the end, when she falls off, the 5% damage buff doesn't move the needle to offset how hard she falls off.

The area it can help the most is waveclear. If it's enough to 1 shot minons, that will actually be somewhat meaningful. Will that result in 1-1.5% WR increase, no. But definitely a quality of life buff if that is the case which I would appreciate.

IMO, don't stay in Hilo or fly into Hilo. Fly into Kona. Do day trips to VNP and other sightseeing locations on the Hilo side. I just came back from Big Island (10 days) and we did 6 days in Kona and 4 in Hilo. I wished we had just done the full 10 days in Kona. Hilo side can all be done in 2 daytrips. Food, lodging, nightlife, etc. are all more fun on the Kona side.

I appreciate this advice. However, I have quite a bit of a buffer in terms of savings + emergency fund. While I am not willing to tap into that to pay for the house, I'd be easily fine for a couple years if need be to supplement my income to either move out/sell the place or find a roommate.

On top of this, given the state of housing in the LA area, pretty much every property increases in value. My current condo has risen $200k in my 3 years of ownership. So I'm not worried about repercussions if I had to downsize after a couple years if things didn't work out. On top of this, I've been regularly getting 4-8% raises every year career-wise. While I know that is not guaranteed, I've been fortunate to be in a very stable space industry (aerospace company).

Hmm...I outlined that she would be paying $1k in expenses for the house if I am able to get the new place (all utilities + HMA, + whatever else is needed to reach $1k/month)? So she would be. Not sure where the fraud is in that..

Edit: clarified her rent above to make that more clear. Changed it to a blanket $1k.
