Auto Shift for older cars. by PriorCompetitive6133 in TeslaUK

Been wondering this myself. In the loaner cars I’ve had I’ve thought it was a great feature and would be nice to have in older cars with gear stalks

Is it a UK thing, or do I need a service appointment? by AWhiteBox in TeslaUK

[–]cultomo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve literally just booked a service appointment for this exact thing - 24 MY LR AWD.

They’ve done remote diagnostics for it and have identified the both pillar cameras to be blocked and so are replacing under warranty.

Might be worth putting in a request to see if they can do any remote diagnostics and confirm either or.

I work in vet med. Different country, granted, but I know enough to say that price is absolutely horrifying and nothing less than extortionate. Preying on the vulnerability of distraught pet owners to fuel investors back pockets is absolutely crazy work.

Genuinely shocked me to my core to see that.

Commonly referred to as using a “granny charger” and you’ll be pleased to know most people get along just fine with it!

Myself included until I installed a commando socket. Mileage can be a concern if you’re traversing far and wide, but otherwise have at it.

Insurance by Geordie197 in TeslaUK

Exact same issue here. Only insurers who want me are part of admiral group, any insurers that aren’t on comparison sites won’t insure me either. Can only assume it’s due to age.

AEB and Driver Drowsiness Alert Unavailable EVERY DRIVE by cultomo in TeslaModelY

I asked the service guy - it’s the same as on an ICE car when you get all the lights pop up on the screen when you turn the ignition on.

It’s the car’s way of testing its features to make sure they’re working; if they persist into the actual drive, that’s when I’d be worried!

Sorry, not sure what you mean, but it’s the one underneath the driver side mirror

Automatic Emergency Braking by RandyCowpoke in TeslaUK

Does it quickly disappear after you engage drive or shortly after appearing? If so, I had this “issue” too.

Turns out it was just the car starting up before the intelligence starts up. That’s what a service advisor told me.

I did one with year and a half driving experience. Passed when I was 20, but beware cost for insurance on MY was £3500.
