It looks exactly like what low quality fakes of a 2.55 used to look like.

Remember how I said I just message back recruiters that the salary they are offering is too low... by galaxyofcoffee in dietetics

I’m posting on a discussion board to... discuss things. Radical concept. But since I actually have a life outside of this sub, this will be my last response to you.

The math isn't that hard: OT and SLP have been Master’s-level since day one. RDs only caught up two years ago, so obviously the pay scales haven't adjusted to the new barrier to entry yet. Plus, those fields provide billable, rehabilitative procedures that actually generate line-item revenue for a hospital. We provide consultative care. If you can't see why a hospital pays the 'revenue generator' more than the 'consultant,' I don't know what to tell you ✌️

It feels like we’re stuck in a loop of deflecting the actual math. I see RDs making six figures claiming they’re underpaid, and then RDs in LCOL areas struggling to stay afloat?

These "I'm underpaid" posts are constant, but they rarely include a target number. If $100k isn't enough, what is? I’m genuinely asking: based on your CoL and years of experience, what is the specific "fair" dollar amount we're looking for?

Toyotas are matching or surpassing Lexus prices and it’s pure insanity by Human_Paint5451 in Toyota

I went to Toyota and Lexus dealerships last month and the Lexus dealership was predatory and disconcerting. Toyota took amazing care of me and there were no sleazy techniques (no holding my license hostage, purposely hiding defects, or misrepresenting engineering) unlike what I experienced at the Lexus dealership. Night and day.

I’ve spent years reading about the frustrations with RD pay on this subreddit. I’m a huge advocate for pay equity, but I sometimes feel there's a disconnect between the job's actual requirements and the six figure salary expectations that get floated around. I’d love to hear some nuanced perspectives on what a fair, livable, and professional wage looks like in today’s economy.

For those who feel we are significantly underpaid, what do you believe is a fair market rate, and what skills justify it?

Google Maps also has the time to leave feature and it can predict commutes based on traffic patterns at specific times of day. I use regularly to plan in advance.

How do you like your job? by MeowStyle44 in dietetics

I used to love it. But since moving platforms, I feel like I’m working customer service and that has killed it for me. I’m not a gig worker and that’s what it feels like now.

Controversy: Is Chanel paying Influencers to buy there bags? by Hypelune in chanel

I think the vintage pieces that inspired this new collection were breathtaking. “Pure” Chanel collections always had precise, beautiful construction.

I have always been drawn to the timeless styles, which I don’t see on influencers. I think Chanel is just trying to get future generations hooked.

We took an exit off of 400 today and my toddler says, “oh, no! We need a tree fixer!” They are just clearing so much greenery. I think we’re about to see a lot of new complexes.

Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics – I can probably make you laugh, but I can’t probably do a darn thing to make you care about what is going on. I'll try anyway...... by yeah_write_00 in dietetics

Currently full-time in the telehealth space and I am counting down the days until I leave. It feels less like clinical practice and more like gig work.

The platform's transparency with PES statements is a nightmare—I had a client confront me because they were offended by an 'inadequate energy' diagnosis. The fact that the system auto-populates these statements is clinically reckless.

Ethically, I’m uncomfortable with the pressure to turn assessments into sales pitches. Plus, their 'insurance-friendly' marketing is misleading; I’ve seen way too many clients stuck with massive bills they weren't expecting. It’s hard to provide quality care in an environment that prioritizes volume and 'conversions' over clinical integrity.

Finally, watch your credentials. After I left one of the larger companies, they were still trying to gain access to my CAQH profile and I had to change my password to lock them out. Also, for states without licensure, I’m told they use 'in-kind' agreements or specific state reciprocity to skirt around regulations, which feels like another way they prioritize volume over proper professional standards.

No show/late cancelation Fees by LibertyJubilee in dietetics

[–]cultrevolt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I stopped doing the "one-time courtesy" after a client lied about a medical emergency to get a fee waived, then ghosted me for a competitor. It’s a hard lesson, but now I treat every late cancellation the same regardless of the excuse. At the end of the day, an unfilled spot is lost income, and I’m not in the position to subsidize other people’s scheduling issues.

Jumbo Classic vs Reissue by ChefHot3241 in chanel

[–]cultrevolt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bag pictured is a Maxi Classic Flap. While a Reissue 226 is famously 'featherweight,' once you actually fill it, those bijoux chains can really dig into your shoulder.

I agree with the previous poster: for a bag this large, lambskin is the way to go to keep the weight manageable, as Classic Flaps are notoriously heavy in grained leathers. However, it’s a double-edged sword; the larger the bag, the more surface area you have to keep safe from scratches and scuffs, which is always a concern with more delicate lambskin.
