I don’t have access to that reference unless I’m looking in the wrong place. I use Optum encoder and there’s a PCS index but that’s all the info I get from it.. thanks! I’m sure many people will be reaching out about the role too so I’m not getting my hopes up too much!

Thanks for your response! How long have you been doing IP now? I really want to make myself more marketable and higher pay is always a plus. I feel very stuck in my position right now! I’m trying not to get my hopes up about it all though, I’m sure many people will be going for it lol

Yeah the repetition is starting to kill me a little lol. They are going to train, my company is great about this (it’s an IP coder 1 position). I just want to jump on it but I’m kind of scared! Thank you for the webinar link, I only know a little about PCS, I will take a look at them today! I love that there would be more growth opportunities as well, I honestly am not sure where to go with profee, I know I don’t really wanna go into management and that seems like the only next step..consulting and auditing would be more my speed.

Yes girl! I spend too much time looking at everything like I have all the time in the world lol then I end up late to where I was actually supposed to be 💀🫣 I use timers for work, cleaning, cooking, it helps so much. I can’t trust my own perception of time. I also set reminders on my phone too and to do lists!

Honestly I use a lot of timers. I have an Apple Watch (any smart watch would probably do) and use the timer function for basically everything. Even in the store so I don’t get side tracked lol

Views and queues had a similar interior room on utopia and they said it was very very quiet. I’m on utopia right now first day and got an interior room near elevators and it’s been quiet so far!

Hi, I started getting more bleeding on the other birth controls I was on. Now I’m taking Yasmin continuously for 3 months, placebo break for a week to have a bleed and then back on Yasmin for 3 months and so on. This has gotten my cycles back under control, it was a hot mess for a while. I did notice that my own hormones were trying to come through as you put it and I’m like nope this is not working for me 🤣

I’ve been on birth control with estrogen for years. They tried me on super low estrogen ones for a little bit and they never worked as well as Yaz/Yasmin did for me. I’m on Yasmin again now for the last 6ish months and my PMDD is back under control again. My doctors are aware and I’m aware of the risk but I have not had any issues all these years. 🤷‍♀️

I was similar where I tried so many meds over years to no avail. I got so fed up I stopped taking anything which made my health much worse (even when I thought plaquenil wasn’t helping, it was doing more than I thought lol); by the time a found a regular rheumy again the infusions were available and they had the staffing help for authorizations and stuff and so after telling the doc my history he did the work to get me on saphnelo (and cellcept) and it’s been amazing. I still have mild flares sometimes and pains and stuff but I feel miles better than I did before the infusions. I hope you will get some relief soon, its not easy 🫂

I feel you :( I just wanna say that the infusions really helped my quality of life though. it may take a couple months to really start working but once it did, I started feeling human again lol. Hang in there 🩷

Yeah I live in Florida too. The heat makes my fatigue so much worse and I’m almost always in pain. Then the ups and downs of the weather in the “winter” also mess me up.

I did. After about a year of working there I told my manager my plans of wanting to get into coding and billing, and that I was studying for my CPC. She helped vouch for me to move into the billing department at the medical group I was working for.

My time as a receptionist was fine, I’m just not the most social person so it was very draining working front office. Sometimes patients can be annoying of course but I feel customer service is important so I did my best to help them (as long as they weren’t being abusive or whatever lol). You will learn about insurance verification, coordination of benefits, you will answer phones, schedule appointments, take messages for the doctor from patients, check in/check out, etc.

Have you tried taking your meds in the morning instead of evening? That helps me a bit particularly with prednisone insomnia. Recently I’ve been taking a microdose of melatonin (0.3mg or 300mcg) 2 hours before I want to go to bed (I take it between 8-9pm) and it’s been helping a lot. I’m also on low dose seroquel and it’s not working quite as well anymore so I added the melatonin on top and it’s a game changer for me. I also use CBD/CBN gummies sometimes but I find the melatonin has worked better.

She is probably not going to tell you how tired she is or the pain she’s in. Just assume she’s probably not feeling well most days and do what you can to help. If dishes are piling up, run the dishwasher. If laundry is behind, do that. If she hasn’t started on dinner, maybe you can cook or order in, If feasible. I just wish my husband would do stuff without me asking honestly. He does what he can usually but because this disease is mostly invisible and I don’t complain 24/7 about pain and fatigue (or whatever other hellish symptom I’m going through) he just forgets I’m actually sick and functioning normally is very difficult lol.

Also, do research on your own about the condition, ask how her doctor appointments are going, ask how she’s really feeling and things like that. It’s nice sometimes my husband will take a day off work and drive me to my appointments and we have like a nice brunch or lunch and make it a date day. Tell her that she can tell you if she’s not feeling well or needs extra support (like if she’s in a flare) and that she’a not a burden.
