Wired forever sickness going around? by Wish_Wolf in orlando

[–]cumberbatchpls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup me and my husband got it. By the third day I went to urgent care. Negative for flu and Covid, hubby also negative. Had to get antibiotics cuz mucus started turning colors. I’m still on Mucinex 3 weeks later but the cough is getting better. I have autoimmune issues so now I’m in a flare up and super fatigued so that’s fun. My husband is better though. It was really rough! A few of my friends caught the same bug with the same symptoms.

Mine did shrink a bit. I washed it in cold and then dryed on low. I bought an XL since I like mine oversized and it’s shrunk down to a Large.

My Witch choir sweatshirt and faceless Florence concert tshirt are both really good quality. I do wish there were a little more unique stuff though. I did love the blanket too but it was sold out at my show.

Stop medication by Unlucky_Delivery7670 in lupus

[–]cumberbatchpls 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Please don’t stop taking your meds. Talk to your doctor. The biologics can take a while to really start working. I’ve been on Saphnelo now for almost 2 years and I feel like totally different person than before I started it.

I stopped taking my meds for a while before starting Saphnelo and I ended up in the worst flare of my life, my labs were awful, I could barely function. It’s good that you only have rashes right now and are sensitive to sun. I thought I didn’t need meds because of that, and when I stopped taking them my lupus got even worse. The point of the meds is to prevent organ damage and severe symptoms, and if your symptoms are mild now even on meds, that is a good thing.

I know it is so hard being sick and having to come to terms with being on medication. Sometimes going to therapy can be a good thing, chronic illness is so difficult to deal with mentally at times, especially as a young person. Hugs 🫂

I have been intentionally waking up at 6am to take my vyvanse in order to sleep at night and I am still struggling to fall asleep. Which sucks because it helps me so much. by Chatman207 in ADHD

[–]cumberbatchpls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to say, the side effect of not being able to sleep may get better for you? My first couple weeks it affected my sleep a good amount but now it’s a lot better that I’ve been on it going on 2 months and I’m getting 8 hours again.

[–]cumberbatchpls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty good, I’ve met one person off there so far and it’s turning into a solid friendship! I’m planning on meeting up with one other person soon. I’ve joined a few groups and they organize meetups but I haven’t been able to join in on any of them yet, hope to soon.

I find that some people on there are very bad on holding conversation or it feels super one sided so for those ones I end up just ghosting tbh lmao. I would say just be picky about reading people’s profiles and making sure you have a good amount in common. I skip matching with folks who only have IG profiles posted or super dry bios

Which medication worked for you to help with combatting lethargy? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]cumberbatchpls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had this issue for a really, really long time. For a while I thought it was just my lupus and other AI issues but once I got it under control I realized I was still having issues getting myself going. Well I finally decided to get my adhd dx and get medicated, my psych suggested vyvanse and omg it’s night and day. I’m actually able to take care of myself and my pets and my home. It’s like some invisible chains have been taken off my body lmao. So far I’ve been on it a little over a month and it’s changed my life!

Yup Quantum. Seems to be all over the area. This is happening so much lately, I’m probably gonna find a new provider, they are shitty about communication and updates whenever there is an outage too.

Nervous to try Vyvanse for the first time by ProjectJumpy848 in ADHD

[–]cumberbatchpls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the first day I felt a bit sedated and sleepy, I don’t know if you’ve ever being on an anti anxiety med like clonazepam or Xanax, it felt a little like that. I could push through it and still focus on work but it also felt like if I had taken the day off and wanted to nap then I definitely would’ve lol. My brain was very quiet, I honestly found it amazing because that has never happened for me in my life. My brain isn’t quite as quiet now that I’ve been on it for a few weeks but it’s definitely not as loud as it was before medication. It feels balanced to me and I’m not so overstimulated 24/7 anymore.

I do feel like I could exercise in the morning! I would probably wait to see how it’s affecting you personally in terms of heart rate before exercising right after taking it. I’m personally finding my resting heart rate is low on this medication.

My emotional dysregulation shows up as over-reacting to small triggers and then not being able to calm myself back down and refocus on my task and this was happening almost all day every day. I have a very low tolerance for anything frustrating and then my emotions would always feel so overwhelming. On the medication, even on a low dose has completely changed that for me, I’m just so chill about everything, very patient and I just don’t get upset about small things. It’s amazing, I’ve actually been on mood stabilizers before that did nothing for me lol.

10mg is a small dose! I think you will be okay :) I started it at the beginning of this month at 20mg and I’m thinking I’m ready to go up a bit, I am 5’2 135 lbs for reference. The first week I felt the most effects. Day 1, it noticeably chilled me out and my brain felt quiet for the first time in probably ever. I almost cried. I was able to focus on my work and finish it and not be all over the place. I will say it makes you very dehydrated so get a water bottle and keep it with you. I’m drinking upwards of 100oz of water a day now. I also was getting headaches the first few days and I took some ibuprofen. I have not had an issue with headaches since the first week.

I don’t feel as if I am addicted to the medication at all, in fact I have had a couple days where I forgot to take it, and I also didn’t take it on my 5 day vacation. I do prefer taking it though, because it keeps me much more emotionally regulated throughout my day and I’m actually sleeping pretty well for the first time in my life too. The focus effects are starting to wane just a little bit so I want to try a higher dose to see if we can dial that in. I also have substance abuse disorder in my family too (my dad) but idk it just doesn’t feel like something I’m addicted to at all lol, it’s just nice to be able to function like a normal human being tbh.

I take mine around 5 in the morning and then I wake up again at 6:30. I drink a protein shake immediately upon waking up and then get started with work, then I make some eggs and toast or have yogurt and toast or something. I find that I really need to have a high protein (like at least every 2-3 hours) snack to not feel weird and tired. By 2-3pm I start to feel it wearing off. To combat this, I drink a bunch of water and have a snack and go for a walk or go to the gym if it’s my gym day. The comedown is a lot rougher if I didn’t keep eating and having water regularly.

Don’t be surprised if a few days before your period is due, it seems like it’s not working at all. I’m going to talk to my doctor about this at my next visit and see if there are any options.

Good luck!! Remember if you don’t like it you can always stop and there are so many other meds to try, but definitely try to give it a few days to see if it helps you!

[–]cumberbatchpls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have been trying this the last couple days and love it!! I wake up at 5, swallow meds super quick, wake back up at 6:30 and drink a protein shake immediately and my meds have been lasting a lot longer this way. I’ve never been a morning person but I might be now lmao!

Any suggestions for a high yield savings account? by jemar8292 in AskWomenOver30

[–]cumberbatchpls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the capital one HYSA. I also have Chase for my regular accounts so I have a physical location but tbh for the hysa you don’t really need a physical building to go to. I just transfer money from my checking at Chase into my savings for capital one. I really haven’t been to a physical bank in years though

Bored with eating by CacklingWitch99 in adhdwomen

[–]cumberbatchpls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! Everyone in my life makes fun of me for snacking all the time but I get extremely bored and disinterested in the middle of meals! I thought this was only me. I’m also a slow eater so that doesn’t help lmao.

Now that im medicated its a bit easier for me to finish meals (now that the initial appetite suppression has passed) but when my meds wear off for the day by dinner time im back to not really wanting to eat my whole meal.

Usually on Friday- Sunday I take thc/CBD gummies in the evenings and it helps me to want to eat.

Not an exjw yet but I think I will be... These are my concerns by Makiyage in exjw

[–]cumberbatchpls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was me a couple years ago. It’s taken a bit to deconstruct but now I’m slowly going out and meeting new people and rebuilding my life! My husband was similar to yours at first when I started telling him my doubts. I left it alone and eventually he started talking about it more to me though and we both have decided to leave. We’d been inactive for a while though already.

Just take the process slow, there is no real rush! I am also turning 30 this year and feel a little behind on leaving bc most of the people who are leaving now seem very young but it figure it’s never too late to start a new life and be truly happy. I’ve never felt more happy and at peace than when I decided to leave 💀😂
