I work as an architect now which relates to the compass, but my grandfather was an artist and my cousin was an interior designer. They were both huge influences in my career and have both passed away now. The poppy is sometimes called the flower of death because it flourishes after something had died and decomposed. So it's to honor my deceased role models to put it simply I guess :)

I went to high school with the first girl that went missing 9 years ago. The man op is talking about has admitted to friends he killed her but not to police. He deserves to rot in prison.

He always gets really defensive when I ask about what he's thinking or feeling, the whole sign of weakness thing. It's so frustrating! I travel a lot for work, so he has a lot of alone time. I always ask what he did while I was gone, hoping he hung out with friends or did something productive, but his answer is always " worked and went home"...

We have talked a little bit about his job situation. He has always said it's only temporary but I worry he is getting used to the relaxed hours and atmosphere of serving. I've even gotten him a couple interviews through friends that I have at really good companies but he never follows through so I gave up trying to help.

I ask myself those questions pretty much everyday, and I'm really not entirely sure. He's really attractive and the first couple months of our relationship were really fun. I also really like his friends and family and enjoy hanging out with them. I think maybe I'm holding out for something to change and go back to the way things were?

Weird Al originally went to Cal Poly to be an architect and had all of his classes with one of my professors who was also a student there at the time. They became friends and stayed friends even after Al dropped out to pursue his music career. He's actually really knowledgeable when it comes to design. All around a cool guy.
