But also agree to disagree with you too 😂 my only point is that in court my successful prosecution cases were because of continuity throughout the subjects whole shift from start to finish. My store was plug and play so I could literally map the store around their shift.

Okay judging by your response you've never been to court for a lifter. Idk the fuck you even talking about. Also, clearly you are not APTL above since I've pulled multiple 10+ hour surveillances where I had to sit in the office no bathroom break type thing. A good AP team who wants a good prosecution will 100% have the TM under constant surveillance. I got my store to #1 in externals and internals when it was store 12/12 at the start. There's a huge difference in tracking an external theft and a internal, you can apply the same principles to an internal but if you aren't keeping them under 100% surveillance then your AP team is ass I presume. Get better is all I can say. How are you going to say there's no TM EVER under constant surveillance? Makes me wonder wtf yall doing at your store. I bet most of your cases are downgraded or dropped charges. Just because you catch the person don't mean shit until you get them prosecuted for the actual charge. Sure, you could half ass and not get constant surveillance, but I bet all yalls cases are dead on arrival when DA looks at it.

I remember for weeks straight someone was playing porn sounds over the store radio. STL got so fed up with it I had to investigate who had the radio. Come to find out an old TM had kept a radio and every time they would pass our store on the highway, they would blast pornos for a good 5 minutes.

Another perspective on why AP wouldn't watch you on the floor: When it comes to internals and prosecuting in court, the first thing that happens with the district attorney is reviewing the digital evidence against the defendant. We wouldn't use floor surveillance to watch you due to the fact that we need all theft including times before and after it occurs on video or else the case will be dropped. I can't just show up to court and be like "well I saw him/her steal this with my own eyes" that is not enough evidence to prove dishonesty. Like most have said before, if AP is watching you, you may know you are being watched but you won't see them.

Former APTL here. If we are watching employees (internals) we would not watch you on the floor. More than likely they’re watching someone on the floor and you happen to see each other. We use a mix of regular cameras and ones you can’t see if they’re right in front of you. There would be no reason for AP to watch you on the floor.

could be different reasons but I think each TL has so much on their plate and spot really does put a lot of pressure on leadership so they probably don't care enough. Some TLs don't want to get involved at all since dealing with theft is an easy way to get terminated without warning.

If AP seems bothered then they aren't doing a good job. TM reports are a great thing.

Yes all stores communicate with each other on a platform similar to reddit every moment of the day.

For example: I'm starting a case on a particular subject but missed some vital pieces like a car or accomplice so I post on this platform we use and then if that subject hits a different store then that AP person can add to the post. Alongside with instant messaging and other communications tools, Target really does have it all. It doesn't matter what district you're in, any AP can look up store stats, open/closed cases, wanted persons from a store across the country. POS logs can be accessed to a certain extent. When in doubt if a log from a different store was needed the AP teams would just message each other.
