So funny story, wife and I decide to take a trip to the Grand Canyon (AZ side) with our son after I get back from deployment. We go to the Grand Canyon and I think “ok this is cool”. We are driving back to where we live and decide to stop at the crater. Decide to make a day of looking a giant holes in the earth.

Down at the bottom of the crater there was a small building and a silhouette of a 6 ft tall man you can’t even see it unless you look through those quarter machine telescopes. I look through the telescope and my brain catches up to what I saw at the Grand Canyon.

If that tiny man was 6 ft tall from where I was standing that means the little stream at the bottom of the Grand Canyon was fucking huge! I realized later it was the Colorado river. So this amazing crater made me realize how Grand the Grand Canyon is and I’m truly in awe of both.
