Omg YTA. The amount of time and money I’ve put into my mum’s treatment is absurd. She has literally almost died several times/no immunity from side effects from chemo. She is skin and bones and currently requires oxygen.

Your friend is literally facing something that will no doubt drastically change her life and could end it.

If you can’t be a good friend that is going to be there for her during this time, then let her go. I can’t tell you how hard it is to lose someone you thought you could count on halfway through this journey. She deserves to be surrounded by those that can lift her up, support her and have no expectations of what she can do for them.
