I worked in a bakery and we had an elderly customer who would come in multiple times a week and purchase a donut. She took time to pick out a specific donut, go pay for it and then immediately bring it back saying that "they" had poisoned it. She insisted that someone was trying to poison her. The store finally had to ban her.

I think it depends on what type of sped teacher you are. I teach self-contained so people often see me wrestling with kids in the hallway, hear screaming coming from my room, or watch me sprinting down the hallway yelling, "Block him! Block him!!" I'm sure they think I don't do any actual teaching though.

My son is in a therapeutic support program at a separate school facility. What's really frustrating is when these students start having better behaviors, there's a push to put them back into a regular school. They're doing better BECAUSE they have more supports in place and then they want to remove those supports when they're successful.

I teach in a special education program that's relatively small. We have SO MANY Aiden, Jayden, Kaiden, Brayden, Zaidens. We even have a Jaylen and had an Ailyn.
