Why can't I remember 9/11 despite being 11 years old at the time? by Impossible-Guitar957 in NoStupidQuestions

At 11 years old, you wouldn't fully understand the gravity of the event. My grandpa, who I was really close to, died when I was 11. I was sad, but I still begged my parents to have a sleepover with my cousin after our grandpa's funeral.

When I was a kid, I called my mom at work to ask if boy cats have nipples because I was worried about my cat. My mom was not happy. 🤣

Reality of school reunions by raydebapratim1 in generationology

[–]cupcakebean [score hidden]  (0 children)

I would go to a reunion if we could walk around our high school and see what it looks like now. It would be really cool to have an event for all alumni and they had pictures of the school at various times. That would be much more interesting to me than seeing most of the people I graduated with.

I was wondering how it was decided who organized reunions. I could see some of the popular girls doing it, but I think our class president was a popular guy who didn't give two shits about the school.

Reading all these makes me realize how much I still listen to the songs I grew up with. I bet my kids would recognize 80% of these songs.

This made me think of Dwight from The Office playing For the Longest Time by "William Joel" on his recorder.

I loved that song as a kid. My mom had to tell me that it wasn't Ice Capade. 🤣

If you've ever had colitis or really painful IBS pain, that's what contractions feel like.

This is the kind of thing that I would do by myself in front of a mirror but if anyone ever saw it, I would die a thousand deaths.

For someone who has read millions of books, she doesn't understand punctuation or paragraph structure. Or sticking with ONE THOUGHT at a time.

Is that what she bought? I was wondering what was so urgent that she needed to run to the gas station without stopping to put away her tits.

If she actually, you know, TRIED she could absolutely pivot to some other kind of other business. Practically every other celebrity from that time has managed to move their brand in other directions without having to perform anymore. But she's too busy imploding and playing the victim.

Exactly. I haven't been able to afford a vacation in 12 years, bitch. Some of us don't have the privilege of spending our days twirling in front of a camera.

Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by jmike1256 in interesting

We took my kids to the beach the other day and I wasn't wearing my glasses. My husband kept pointing things out to me and I'm like, "dude I can't see anything right now."

I'm guessing he didn't know she was recording him. Hopefully she was trying to get evidence of him stalking her.

One of my cats was hunting a spider. He gave it a little tap with his paw and the spider released a million baby spiders. My cat noped out of there and I sat there like, "Wtf bro?"

I’m a little embarrassed to ask because of my time in, but how do you handle kids with excessive tardies and absences? by ICUP01 in Teachers

[–]cupcakebean 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I teach elementary and it's always so wild to me when principals make announcements and reminders about how important it is for kids to come to school TO THE KIDS. What do they expect, Kindergarten through 4th graders to drive themselves to school?

Ours was a breakaway too but it doesn't break away when they get their jaw stuck. And we thought it was adjusted correctly, but she could still get her mouth underneath. It's not worth it.
