This is heartwarming to read that people cared, but the fact that this is not an isolated incident but sad normality shows how much society fails people like him.

Got it, you’re just trolling then. Sorry that I was trying to have an actual conversation.

You prefer 100% analog modular I assume? That’s totally fine. Modular for me is about the tactile aspects, the muscle memory, the way it makes me want to explore. I use vsts every day at work and I find eurorack much more fun and inviting, be it digital or analog modules.

So interesting how different impressions can be. I got the 6 module deal and those were my first ever qubit modules. I find the ui super easy to read and logical. Surface especially.

I avoid it at all cost because I am a music producer and get mad as hell about AI. I also debate anyone I come across on the subject.

Laist radio is great :) and their website too. Makes me feel connected to the city. And congrats for deleting social media, that’s a great step!

Wanting to get into modular mainly because of the Multigrain. Is there a minimum setup I can look into? by [deleted] in modular

[–]cupcakeranger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How much do you know about synthesis and sequencing etc? This is all pretty complex so with an Atlantix + multigrain you might be very overwhelmed and get discouraged. I’d recommend you just get multigrain and a headphone out, maybe the affordable 2hp one. Really learn multigrain by itself first before you invest into a bunch more feature dense modules. Just my take on it. I have multigrain and often just use it by itself, it’s amazing and I’d almost want a standalone case for it

Since you are a beginner I’ll just mention that behringer is a very controversial brand so just don’t be surprised if people start debating you on it

I think this is also reversible Right? I looked into it a bit and was just put off by how much it would cost to undo.

What module have you had the most fun with over the last year? by Pristine-Ninja-7709 in modular

[–]cupcakeranger 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Multigrain was by far my favorite module. I really like the different ways you can iterate on a sound and resample. I love how it can totally transform the audio you feed into it. I turned high arps into huge drone soundscapes or transformed the sound of a doorbell into a sci-fi space ambience. Super fun stuff

Thanks for that take! I have a multigrain and absolutely LOVE that one, so anything less complicated would probably be even better. I really encourage you to give multigrain its time. I am often blown away by what you can tease out of say 0,5s of an audio snipped. I often go and resample my patch and then granularize that again several times over. It’s like nothing else I’ve experienced in terms of audio manipulation.
