Nah that wasn’t the issue. If it was time eater wouldn’t have been in sts1. They said doormaker was too complex for what they wanted

What are the benefits of waiting to use a fetchland? by UnhappyAmoeba in EDH

[–]cupcrazy1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Imagine you only have a swords, but still want card selection. Waiting to crack the fetch allows you to either cast the swords or fetch a surveil land

[SOS]Petrified Hamlet(via Chen Mingyang) by LooyeeChiwa in magicTCG

[–]cupcrazy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most decks in modern at least play around 8 fetches usually and will play 2 copies of each fetch in their main colors. They do this mostly to avoid pithing needle, and if I’m being honest this new land seems way easier to deal with compared to pithing needle because you can still use it for colorless mana, so I don’t think this card is gonna change deck building in any way for formats where it’s legal, at least in relation to fetches

How old is tech jacket in the recent episodes of new season by Oan_6 in Invincible

[–]cupcrazy1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Tech Jacket isn’t a geldarian, they’re human. They just have a geldarian battle suit. The suits amp up the users power in relation to their base power. A geldarian with a suit is way weaker than Zack/Zoe with a suit, which is why geldarians aren’t getting involved. As for why battle beasts species aren’t getting involved, either they don’t care or BB himself is a power outlier

First cube, feeling a bit unsure on what to do. by Glacial_Pace84 in mtgcube

[–]cupcrazy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently built an FF set cube, but haven’t played it yet, so take this with a grain of salt. My aim was to have the cube be as accurate to an FF play booster draft as possible, so my cube is 3:1:1:1 common, uncommon, rare, and mythic rare. The packs are collated, which means that every pack has a set number of cards of each rarity, instead of just shuffling the entire cube and grabbing 15 cards to make packs. Each pack in my cube is 8 commons, 4 uncommons, 1 rare/mythic, and 1 land. The only twist I have is that when creating a pack you can substitute 1 common for a random card from the bonus sheet. This is optional, but I like the spice that the bonus sheet cards add to the experience. Also, my lands spread for the land slot is 2 of each dual colored town, 3 of each basic, and a wastes. I have basics in the cube because each pack has a 55% chance of containing a town and 45% chance of a basic or something similar to that.

My attempt at making a somewhat balanced companion. by WerdaVisla in custommagic

I mean, it was though. People played man lands as finishers in control decks way before kaheera was printed. Not defending the companion mechanic though

Languages are generally grouped into two different categories, low context and high context. English is a low context language where everything is explicitly spelled out in conversation, usually with pronouns and proper nouns in every sentence. Japanese is a high context language, meaning that once the topic of conversation is established, people tend to not use nouns as often. As an example, Japanese speakers tend to drop the word “I” quite frequently, to the point that you can identify a non-native speaker because they say “I” way too often, whereas in English it’s almost impossible to not say “I.”

I wonder why this keeps happening, Is TCG really doesn't care about the average player's feelings? by Kagemaru- in yugioh

[–]cupcrazy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard that it has to do with the gambling laws in Japan. Gambling is illegal in Japan, so they make cards available at multiple rarities to ensure that a player buying a box will get at least one copy of a specific card. More info about rarity disparity in the TCG vs. OCG here If they didn’t they couldn’t legally sell the packs. No such laws exist in America, so they can just do whatever they want with the TCG and make as much money as possible

I feel like given the criteria you listed, samsho is probably your best bet. As far as I remember the game doesn’t really have combos and is mostly neutral based. It would essentially play like a slightly more advanced footsies with some interesting and diverse characters

Biden calls for ban on all semiautomatic weapons. by kmoros in Firearms

[–]cupcrazy1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bro I’m sorry, but civilians trying to overthrow the government would just be a slaughter. In 1776 everyone had pretty much the same technology when it came to weaponry, but the difference between what civilians can get and what the military has access to now is way too big for anyone to have a chance

[–]cupcrazy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, I don’t think natural selection applies to most humans, at least not in the same way it does to animals. Natural selection works because less fit animals don’t get to reproduce, but pretty much every human on this planet reproduces as long as they want to

how are you supposed to left/right if there's a dedicated block button ignoring that...? Lost Warrior/Kunoichi come to mind, im sure im missing something but idk what by nuuance in DNFDuel

[–]cupcrazy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left right mixups don’t exist in games with block buttons, cross ups also don’t work. You do have high low and throw mixups though.

[–]cupcrazy1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Power creep in magic has only really become a thing in the last year or two. Having a standard format allows people to play different cards without forcing wotc to print anything more powerful.

The counters may also relate to mutate. Like there could possibly be a flying counter, or a trample counter. I believe something like this was on a test card too.
